Used 2000 Chevrolet Malibu Consumer Reviews
I will only buy Chevy now
I just wanted to let anyone out there thinking of buying one of these cars to do so. My daughter wrecked mine into a pole head on, the airbags went off, and she didn't have a scratch on her, she walked away unhurt.. This car was built sound and tough and my daughter is living proof. I want another just like it.
Me & My "Bu"
No one is allowed to drive but myself. I wash it every other week. It was my dream to have one. In the late 60's Dad bought a yellow one a standard & that's when i learned to drive a standard. It had spoke wheels a pretty yellow. My Bu is special to me. Love that style. It will be a classic I'll never trade it. Thanks for bringing them back!

Very Disappointed
Bought my Malibu after 7yrs with a Cavalier. Thought that I would have the same wonderful, reliable car as with the Cavalier. Unfortunately, I have many mechanical problems with this car. Brakes!! were replaced, gear problem-- transmission work, A/C fan unit replaced, difficulty changing the A/C (or heat) from floor to defrost and everything in between. Beware to anyone buying a used one..it may have been someone else's problem.
GM stop making lemons!
We bought our 2000 Malibu couple of years ago, thinking is a good balance between price, performance and quality! We were sooo wrong! Although the price was cheap, but not cheap enough to justify the poor performance and the overall quality. The engine is a junk (we had to replace the intake gasket), the A/C system has to be recharged monthly (the compressor and few other things has to be replaced)-still is not working properly! Overall costly repairs!!!
Its Great
After 26 months I have, 47,500 miles on it. It has been on many trips and other stuff and is great. At 30K I had to put new front breaks, otherwise perfect. The radio speakers are starting to have problems but thats minor. Its great but it.
