Used 2002 Chevrolet Impala Consumer Reviews
2002 Impala LS
I'm not a car nut or an expert-but I love this car! It handles nicely, is exceptionally quiet, the leather interior is beautiful and I absolutely love my sunroof. I haven't had a single problem in 11,000 miles and I doubt that I will have any problems for 111,000 miles! Can't beat this car for the money!! Space, luxury, and affordability--and our dealer was super helpful and patient
It's good
I bought my 2002 used with abou 64K miles on it. It's run well, but has had issues that mechanics tell me are typical for this car. Had to replace intake manifold gasket, major work to front end including replaceing a wheel hub because of bad bearing, fixed power window switch on driver's side, had to have ignition replaced. That said, I still love the thing and I'm buying a newer model when I can.

Impressed
I received my Impala new in November of 2002 as my police patrol vehicle. This car has been outstanding! It came equipped with the 9C1 police package and has not disappointed me. It is very powerful with the 3.8L V-6, and the 4 wheel disc brakes are outstanding. I have 115,000 miles in less than 5 years and have not replaced the brakes. The interior room gets a little cramped in the front, but the trunk is huge and holds all of my junk with ease. This car is a vast improvement over the Lumina police car. The only repairs to date are new electric cooling fans and a catlytic converter covered under warranty. I would buy one for my own personal car
Tough to beat
A very pleasant surprise. Virtually all areas of the Impala rate (by me) very high. Ride, handling, creature comfort, engine response are all top notch. Fit and finish were flawless on delivery. Impala may have a lot of competition in the $30K area, but this car sells in the 23K to 25K range. A real no brainer for anyone without money to burn.
Enjoyable
My Impala is a pleasure to drive. I've had 5 people in the LS w/ plenty of room. It has a decent ride, but could be a lil softer w/ those nice expansion joints on highways. It has nice "get up and go" power, as well as ample passing power. I have taken the car on trips to Ohio from MD, and get great gas mileage. And very little discomfort after a 3-4hr drive. Overall, I'm very satisfied w/ the vehicle. With the price, you cant kick all the extras you get.
