tribute to a great first car

I just sold my 95 Corsica and I must say it was a great first car. I don't believe I could have gotten a bigger and more comfortable ride for the price they sell Corsicas. The ride was smooth and luxurious and stopped on a dime. The stereo amped and getting 440 miles/tank gave it a great cruising range. Although the paint started pealing after 4 years, an oil leak, and failed alternator, the car was very reliable. If they still made them, I would have bought another in 2002.

I bought my Corsica (V6, auto) new in Jan. '95, and I've put nearly 150,000 miles on it. It's not flashy, but it gets me around and has only had one major repair (cracked intake manifold at around 140,000 miles). It still gets 29mpg highway with the A/C on.

A great car if you can find one!

I have the 1995 V6 Corsica. Never had a problem with it. Bought it with 22,000 miles and runs better than my new V6 Mercury Sable. Wife won't let me trade it for any new car. "It's her car"! The car has no frills, no power anything except power locks. Paint looks good and no problem with pealing. This car is outside in the HOT Florida sun! No problem with electrical system. I wish they would make cars as the Corsica I have. It's a great car and fun to drive with it's powerful V6 engine. Everyone is surprised when I take off and leave them in the dust, even a Corvette!! Enough said. Buy one if you find one.

Can't replace headlights

This car is so old now you can't replace the riding lights. But yes you have regular and highbeams. This car is big and nice and solid bought for $1500 with 60k mi and now has 118k mi but we put in over $2000 worth of work in it. No ABS brakes. This car is okay if you ignore those things. I predict this car works for 18 - 20 years
