Okay, but have had a few minor problems
Overall my extreme has been a decent purchase. I've had problems with the right rear window leaking. After taking it in 4 to 5 times I think it's finally fixed. By the way it wasn't a little leak either. The water stood in the right rear cargo area. Mechanically I have had no problems. Power sunroof has been sound and no leaks. As opposed to the other extreme review my tires lasted until about 45,000 miles. Gas mileage mainly running interstate/highway has been 17/18. Although the reported highway is around 20 or 22. Rear window molding deteriorating. Can't stand the look of it. I have found the seats to be very comfortable. I love the way my extreme handles.
My Cadilliac
This Blazer is the most awesome truck I've ever owned. It's fun to drive, it has great engine power. The gas mileage could be better but hey its got a big engine in it. I have the 02' loaded edition only 69k mint condition. I haul quads with it and it pulls them with no trouble.

I love my Blazer!
Maybe I got a good one? I've had my Blazer for a little over two years and haven't had it in the shop for anything major other than the horn likes to honk for no reason in the winter time when I turn the wheel. The rear window used to rattle when going over small bumps, but I was able to fix it. This has been a really great vehicle despite these negative reviews. I do regular maintenance, and really test it to its limits. I've added a lot to it like a hitch reciever, and skid plates, and a grill guard. All in all a great vehicle. Maybe I got lucky and got one that doesn't have any problems. Everywhere we drive, we always take the Blazer even though it has the worst gas mileage.
built to last
with the 4.3 motor it realy gets up and moves, low noise and great ride. have not used 4/4 yet but can't wait. the motor and transmition has a great pulling power, I have driven Jeep liberty and there is no conparison all I can say like a rock.
Blazer
This car is a blast to drive. In all of the reviews, it gets a bad wrap, but an SUV is not build to be fast and handle well. These are the things that it is marked down on. This is a great truck.
Good
I beleive that this car is a really nice suv for a teenager or doing things other than towing, needs a larger engine ro more horsepower and torque
Satisfied
My Blazer has 20K miles on it and haven't had a moments trouble. It has never been back to the dealership for anything. Fit and function are better than the big three average. Paint job quality is excellext. I have driven 4 different Blazers in the last eight years and plan to continue this buying trend.
Love My New Blazer!
I just got my new Black 2002 Blazer and I love it! It's so much fun to drive and you get a real sense of power when you get behind the wheel. The engine was a little loud at first, which actually turned out to be a good thing in my opinion; you get used to it though. If it's your first time driving an SUV take it easy on the turns, its very different than a regular car. Aside from that, it handles and accellerates suprisingly well and gives you a comanding view of the road. Again, I LOVE MY BLAZER!
Usual GM Quality
This Xtreme has been in the family since it was first purchased. I bought it from my father after 2 years and I've driven it for another 2 years and just hit 36,000 miles. On the outside it is a very clean, solid looking SUV, and the inside is well crafted. GM has a powerful and exciting engine in this small SUV which is a great fun factor, and stock lowering is a great improvement on handling. Now for the bad news. Tires wore out at 20k miles, everything rattles, and it's been sent to the dealer 6 times since I've had it. A fun vehicle to drive, but at 36k miles I think it's trying to fall apart. If you feel lucky, go for it, but be careful.
driving the h*ll out of it
31500 and counting. most miles on highway. havent had a single problem with the exception of one. change my own oil got a free change from dealer the first time. the mechanic must have been king kong. took it back and the dealer loosened the drain plug. no sqeaks, rattles, etc. same motor as was in my 90 s10. should be good for over 200k and i never changed the oil in it after 150k (dumb move). very good vehicle if you get it from the right plant and its not built on a monday or friday!
