Used 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche Crew Cab Consumer Reviews
Happy Owner
My Z66 Avalanche is the best truck I have ever owned, and I have had several over the years. I added a Gibson exhaust, K&N air filter and the computer adjustments. The truck runs awesome. The only problem I have had in 28,000 miles is the steering shaft, since it was replaced, nothing, not even brakes. It tows my trailer with two big bikes in it like nothing is even there. I recently added 20" wheels and I get lots of comments on the "green monster." The truck is comfortable for five adults and the ride is more like a car than a truck, very smooth. I use the fold down feature often, mostly leaving the rear window in place and folding the lower section (for ladders etc.). Excellent!!!
Pure J.U.N.K.
Sorry I ever saw one of these things. Seemed pretty cool at first but quickly got ugly. Sucks gas like my old Hemi 'Cuda of 1970 vintage. Poor build quality and generally worthless design. Not really a truck and not really an SUV. It gets increasingly uglier every day and the plastic trim everywhere, inside and out, won't stay attached. Will dump it on the used car market soon. Certainly, Dodge and Ford have the edge.

'03 Avalanche
Never had it back to dealer for anything. Change the oil and put in gas and go. Very smooth and quiet ride along with the largest trunk of any vehicle ever made. The heated leather seats are very comfortable and great for long drives. Definitely the ultimate utility vehicle.

a very good truck glad that i brought it looked at ford super crew cab fords style is old. i love the power and the feel of the 5.3 v-8.the avalanche rides very smooth and is very quite. i like the quality build into the truck. went to new york 2 weeks ago. the truck was great on the trip. i got over 18 miles a gallon. that is very good for a 4-wheel drive.
Great Truck
I really like this truck. We purchased it to pull our Airstream trailer which it has done flawlessly. Ours is Arrival Blue which is nice but I sure like the yellow. I don't expect to use the back seat access feature to the bed but really like the fold down backseat for our dog.
