2002 Chevrolet Avalanche Crew Cab 1500 4dr Crew Cab 4WD (5.3L 8cyl 4A)

Review

I picked up my Avalanche about two
weeks ago and I love it. My wife and
kids also love it and want to use it as
the family vehicle now. My wife
threatened to take the Avalanche for
herself and leave me with our '02 Ford
Escape. For comfort, power,
versitality and ride I'd have to say
that this is the best vehicle I've ever
driven. Also, this thing is as loaded
as a Cadillac! This is the first
vehicle that I've ever owned that
impressed me enough to want to get
another one when this one is ready for
pasture.

Best Features

The midgate is soooo cool. I love it that I can switch back ad forth from a crew cab SB truck to a regular cab regular length bed in less than 5 minutes. The power and ride are also excellent, even with the Z-71 package.

Worst Features

The gas mileage sucks, but it's as good as anything else this size. The interior could use some updating. It's comfortable, but very dated.

Review

Have owned this truck since new. Put
many mods on both exterior and
drivetrain. It's a lot of fun and easy
to work on. You need metric tools. It
does everything they say it will and
more!

Best Features

Versatility. Styling. Comfort.

Worst Features

Put the 6.0L Vortec in the 1500 in place of the 5.3L.

Review

Purchased to support Cave Diving
hobby. Both my wife and I were put
off at first by looks, but the
functionality is awesome.
Industructable, go anywhere, pull
anything. Pulled our 24' boat like it
wasn't there. Damm fine truck.

Best Features

Locking bed, 4WD, high clearance, interior comfort, nice ride.

Worst Features

Pet carrier upgrades to make carrying pets in the bed area safer without comprimizing the cab.
