When people ask how this car has treated me, I tell them that this car is special; it can do anything. Super comfortable inside, exceptional under the hood, beautiful on the outside. It has so much power, and being so low to the ground makes it seem like a sports car. In terms of reliability, this car is a great example of American quality. I bought it with 97K miles on it and put 15K the first year with no problems. Only one repair ever (water pump pulley), which apparently was done incorrectly the first time. The mileage isn't great, but can vary widely. I got up to 35 mpg on a trip to Vegas. I intend to drive this car until there's no more miles it can handle. I absolutely love this car.

Bought this car with 76k and its now up to 88k fuel economy is more forgiving than other cars if you drive it right was able to get 38Mpg on round trip from Quincy, IL to Springfield, IL, beautiful flawless metallic high gloss maroon with matching leather, great sound from digital tune radio 7 band EQ and tape, amazing power if anyone is thinking of buying a used mustang lets have a little competition to see which is faster and more comfortable. I feel horrible using this car for every day driving.

Very easy to live with

Cadillac introduced an all-new front-drive Deville for 1985. The car received an extensive update for 1989, and another mild facelift in 1991. The 1993 model was the last year before the 1994 re-design. Acceleration is remarkable for a large front-drive vehicle, and the interior room is hard to beat. Drivers of all sizes should be able to find a way to get comfortable. The overall design has held up very well, and the '91 - '93 Deville still looks contemporary today. Composite front fenders have found themselves to be prone to cracking, and rust through on the A-pillar (particularly at the front-door hinges) is something to look for. Because of a long model run, used parts are plentiful.

Wow, what a car !!

I have owned my Cadillac Sedan de Ville for 14+ years and consider it the finest car I have ever owned. I have never had to perform anything but normal maintenance on this beautiful vehicle, have taken many major road trips in it in utmost comfort and safety, and enjoy it every day for normal in-town driving around Los Angeles. Always a pleasure to enter, its tasteful interior gives my passengers a sense of spacious comfort unmatched in any other car. I love this car today just as much as I did when I drove it out of Casa de Cadillac in 1994. Faithful oil changes, brake service, align, etc. and keep it forever! After 157K miles, still Five Star !

Query about stalling problem

Love my Caddy and intend to drive it until I kick off; however, it has a stalling problem. When driving, the engine stops. It re-starts again, but eventually dies for extended time before starting again (hour..). I have had it in 3 shops and still have the problem. Has anyone solved this problem? I have met one other owner who had the same problem.

I found this car with less than 40K miles. It's old school style,a true cruiser. The V-8 power is great. Brakes and handling - NOT. A very comfortable and safe ride w/ style. If you can get one with under 80K miles it's a steal. Just realize it's a classic 1993 Cadillac.

My 1993 Cadillac DeVille is a good car. I love it, the ride quality makes you feel like you are floating. It is the most comfortable car I've been in, but that goes for all DeVilles. It is solid (if you tap something it rarely even dents), she's a heavy car. The car still has plenty of power, only 200hp but a lot of torque, and a big V8. I have had to put $800 of work into it mechanically, but she's never died on me. I've had problems with the water pump, fuel pump, and a couple of things that a tune up could handle, but the even with those problems my DeVille has never let me down.

I bought this car three years ago with 169,000 miles. I was impressed that it was so quiet and felt very tight. It has no squeaks or rattles. I now have 219,000 miles and it's still tight. I have done minimum maintenance, just tires, brakes, and a new set of plugs. The interior is very comfortable with it's living room type leather seats. The sound system is great. I recently updated with a CD player. The speakers still sound wonderful. I have always changed the oil every 3,000 miles or if I use synthetic every 6,000 - 7,000 miles. This Caddy is even good in the snow with it's front wheel drive. I hope to get to 300,000 miles out of it and I believe I will.

1993 Caillac deville

Ok so i needed a used car for cheap. I get my caddy and it runs good. It had about 100k miles on it and it still ran like new. The only issue with my car is the heat and air. Neither work! Also At 121k miles the tranny is failing on me. First gear is messed bad. Also the color around the bottom is starting to peal off bc it is some weird type of paint. Besides that i love my car. It has a powerful V8 and i just love the look. Also i love the space it provides. The seats are very comfortable and very adjustable. I believe this is a great car for anyone to buy. Just don't peel out all the time like me and ruined the tranny.

My 3rd used Sedan Deville. Buy them wwith low mileage-drive for 3-4 years and repeat. Much better than new ford or chevrolet. Only problem with this one was electronic struts-expensive to replace. Great ride, good power, plenty of room.

Except for 3000 mile services and replacement and maintainance of water system, transmission and fuel filter this car has not required any other work. Oh yes, new tires and brakes have also been added.

30 Years of Caddies...

and this one is my favorite. Bought this car new and have been driving it constantly (125,000 miles). Audio is spectacular, big V8 provides good pickup for such a large vehicle. Ride is still smooth and the seats have lazy boy caliber comfort. Decent highway gas mileage, cheap to fix, seats many comfortably/safely.

This car is great! For four years now it has always been reliable. It also is very comfortable and always looks brand new after I clean it. I feel very fortunate to have this car. It is the third Cadillac in a row that I have owned. I know for sure I am going to get a fourth one. My current one has 120,000 miles and I bought it with 63,000.

Luv My Cad!

I bought this car because we needed a second car when my wife went back to work. Basically, I started out looking for a little economy car, but I couldn't stand how small they were! So, I saw my caddy for sale and stopped for a test drive. I'll tell you right there, it was true love from the minute I sat down in those incredibly comfortable seats. Then after I applied my foot to the gas pedal and flew, I knew it had to be mine. The price was right, so I made the deal and I haven't regretted it yet. In fact, I just got a personalized plate that reds "LUVMYCAD" and that says it all!

When I was looking for a car to buy I came across the cadillac deville, it was love at first sight. When i first purchased this car I felt like a million bucks. It has a great sound to the 4.9L V8, and is still quite fuel economic for its size. It is a smooth quite ride, with tons of space and comfortable leather seats. The exterior is beautiful with the hood ornament and chrome grill. This car is built so well that it most likely could last up to 230,000 miles. Every little feature to this car is excellent! if you buy this car you'll be noticed!

This is by far the best car I have ever owned. Incredible comfort. This is the car you want for those long road trips cross-country. It just gets stronger as you let it stretch it's legs. It has been very reliable and an absolute pleasure to own and drive.

Six years and 120,000 miles. No problems. I only needed one tune up and two minor service visits. Outstanding performance. I went back an bought me another Cadillac. I wouldn't even consider another manufacturer. Excellent reliability! Enjoy.

I bought this car in 2004 with 96,000 miles on it with 2,000 miles on a new motor. I LOVE the car for its looks, comfort, quality and AMAZING POWER for a 4-door sedan. It is the "Roadster" version with tonneau top, luggage rack and fender script. It's so beautiful I would take her to bed if she fit through the door. Sorry folks, she's NOT FOR SALE !!

My First Caddy

I bought this vehicle when I turned 40. I always wanted a Cadillac. Aside from some problems I had because the previous owner did not take care of this car, I just love my CADDY. It's too bad that I have to use only prem. gas (because of the price per gallon). This car have been very good to me. When it comes time to trade up I will be looking for another Cadillac.

Another GM Turkey

Well, it;s sitting in the driveway waiting for a recycle dealer to pick it up. The tranny went out for a second time and I ain't gonna put any more money into it. The car has 85k miles, the tranny went out at 60K. Shop says these 90's model V8 FWD's are prone to tearing the tranny up, poor design by GM. Another problem has been the battery- it seems all the fancy electronics, especially the "Load leveling system" drain the battery and cause premature failure there too.

I love my Caddy!

Overall, great car! Event though I bought it used, its reliability has far exceeded brand new cars that I bought before it (car has never left me stranded, except when it was my own fault). My next car will definitely be another Deville! And SOOO comfortable, the seats just swallow me! Negative? 1993 interior styling is too blah and "old school." I like the curvier styling (interior and exterior) of the 1996-1999 Devilles, but just couldn't afford a newer one at the time. My next Caddy will likely be a 96-99 Deville (I can't stand the squarish styling of the 2000 Devilles, though the LED taillights are cool).
