The Best Car I Ever Owned

Our 1991 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham has been by far the best car we have ever owned. We purchased it from a local dealer who received it from a person that turned it in after a 5 year lease with 49,000 miles. We now have 251,000 miles on the original 5.7 (350) engine. It uses about 1/2 quart of oil between oil changes. We rebuilt the transmission at about 210,000 miles and have done a few other things as well.

I love my Caddy it turns more heads than any other car I have ever had. It's like everyone in my neighborhood knows me now by all of the compliments I get from people (young and old) about it. No cheap plastic interior pieces in here, only high quality luxury. It's a shame that they don't make cars like this anymore! I can still remember the first time I saw this model Caddy, I was a freshman in high school in 1991. I said to myself "one day I am going to buy me my own Cadillac Brougham" It took me 19 years but it was well worth the wait!

    A Cady to die for...

I'm going to be Blunt and honest, I have this exact model but no it's not a common Brougham. Allow me to elaborate, I remember the 1st vehicle I've ever driven it was a Toyota Corolla, my wife also has a Nissan Rouge and those are fine, Im just pointing other cars Ive been in... However the moment I stepped in the caddy I felt like I was home. When I started driving it I felt like I was inside a plane, the spacious cabbin, the leather seats, the full control console nice and tucked in, all of it screamed "This is for you!" I just knew this is what I wanted as soon as the I turned that Ignition cylinder. It has a extremely smooth and the drive I quite honestly believe is what it all other brands should strive for. The looks I get from passers-bys are of dread, fear and curiosity... maybe it's because my Brougham is a hearse modified by Caddilac's Superior Coaches... And yes people are still dying for a ride.

Still rides great 18 years later. Almost all parts have been replaced more then once, but they couldn't biuld another car like this if they tried. The chrome, the lines, the ride. This ride is the last year of the true cream puffs.

    Cadillac Style

Was more then a bit apprehensive in buying a car over the net without driving it first, But am more then happy with the outcome thus far. The only draw back that I've found with my 7th Caddy now is it does not do well in the snow. With that said this is by far the best Cadillac that I've owned. Love the styling. And does better on gas miles since I put in the Cyclone fuel saver-seems like it has more power going up hills then without it. And with only 74,000 on it thus, far can see having driving pleasure for a long time to come. Love the triple black scheme as well. A real head turner to say the least.

'91 Brougham- Last of the Great American Cars

I purchased my behemoth earlier this year after spending a year searching for style and comfort in more current automobile. With the possible exception of a Mercedes S550, there was simply nothing that approached the style, comfort and power of this magnificent classic. I found a fine car-- a pristine 5.7L monster with only 23K miles on it. I invested a couple of thousand on mechanicals since it had been sitting idle for years, and have driven it daily now for over a month. It is without a doubt the best car I have ever owned, and I have owned some of the finest cars around!

My car now has 155,500 miles on it, but you can't tell by looking at it! I get thumbs up from strangers about every other day. I love the looks, surprisingly good build quality knowing '90's GM issues, and the way it rides. I love a full frame vehicle. This has been virtually trouble free car that has tons of room for lots of friends and luggage. I really wished I had a sunroof and the 350ci engine instead of the 305ci. Amazingly, I can get up to 25 mpg on the highway even with all those miles, stunning! It drinks the gasoline in stop-n-go traffic though, 12 - 17mpg. Every report I've read says these motors/tranny's are good for over 200,000 miles. My dad's Caprice got that too.

This is truly a roomy and comfortable car. The ride is smooth, although wind noise exceeds that of modern cars. You can't get this top level of ride, style, or room in a modern car. You can get an equivalent amount of room in a quad-cab full size pick-up truck, but then you're driving a truck. This car is a pleasure to take on a long road trip, and if you keep it in nice condition you will turn heads wherever you go. People are always coming up to me with compliments at gas stations, and the mileage is pretty good. I get about 17 mpg in mixed city/highway driving from 87 octane gas. Mine is a sky blue with medium blue leather seats and blue interior. There was a time when car makers wanted their cars to stand out, and Cadillac was classy in every detail. I use mine as a daily driver from April to November (I live in the rust belt), and then put it away for the winter. Even though I have a modern up-scale SUV to drive in the winter I look forward to bringing out my "Caddy" in the Spring and shining her up as the car I really want to drive.

    1992 Cadillac Brougham Review

This car is the most reliabel and comfortable vehicle I have ever owned. It has never failed to start and runs well and always has. It is large and roomy inside and very comfortable, especially on long trips. It is well made and my wife and I have always felt very safe in this vehicle. While it is not an economical car, it has gotten a surprisingly good average mpg the entire time we've owned it and we bought it brand new at the dealership.
