Luv it so much, I bought another1
I was never 1 to be what i callld a luxury car person, but I been hooked on it since i bought my 91 2years ago. This car has it all. Its a solid vehicle that gives you the (classy look), with a powerful enough engine and smooth transmission to give you the sporty feel.Other than the wear and tear that Ive put on it, Wearable parts(brakes, battery, tune up items, and a cuple extra parts due to my own mishapps I really dont recall haveing to ever fix anything on---yes I did, the crankshaft sensor.
A keeper
Big, safe, powerful, smooth. This car gets about 26 mpg on the highway, yet has decent pickup and a high top speed. The center console is all digital and touch screen (factory), letting you know everything that is going on. It's had transmission issues, but it's easy and cheap to find a replacement at the junk yard with decent mileage on it, being that the transmission goes in about 7 or 8 different GM models. Also, watch your speed in this car, I catch myself doing over 80 and it feels like most other cars do at 55.
A Great Buy
This Riviera is by far the best buy I have made to date. The car has great acceleration along with great style and quality.I suggest this car for anyone who loves a smooth ride with added style.
I love this car
I have owned this car for close to three years one off which I was in Iraq, and it just sat for a year and still worked wonderfully when I came home. I have done nothing to fix it yet (besides a couple new tires) since owning it. It's almost 20 years old and works better than most of these new cars my friends own. I was a little hesitant on buying it but I'm glad I did.
1992 Riv
my husband bought the Riv in May 1992. We store it in the winter and drive it from April or May to October or November - depending on the weather. everyone wants to buy this car. we owned a conveniencd store/gas station. i parked it under the price sign. everyone thought it was for sale. told them not to hold their breath. people have told us that we have the nicest car on the highway - "cherry". love it. won't give it up for anything. looks like the day it came out of the showroom. blue saphire in color. cloth seats - which i prefer. very comfy. great steiro sound.
Strong engine and power train
My 1991 Buik Riveria was a strong engine powered car. I enjoyed driving it in the big city and the open country side. The Riveria was very quick at taking off at lights, leaving camaros and grand prix in the dust!! I had no major problems with the car untill it reached the age of 12. Maybe luck or just a good built car,I still enjoyed riding and driving in my riveria. The highway was great, since I could cruise at 80mph without a bit of worry. The car turned over great in the cold, no matter how cold the tempature was. I will miss you, but life moves on.
price to expect from insurance adjuster
bought this car in dec 2001. old lady had it and omly drove it to store and church. vehicle was exceptional and was a one of a kind for a 1992.
Great older car
I bought it from it's original owner. It's been kept in the garage it's whole 17 years. I love this car. You can not buy a car built like this anymore. Solid. I have 2 other cars new and a truck. By far this is the one I like the most.
One of the best/Cool
Wonderful, graceful lines, great, deep dark cranberry red babe magnet. If only I were young enough to handle a babe. 8-)
OOHLALA
THIS CAR IS DA BOMB! Talk about a head turner! People are always asking me about it and if I am ready to sell it. The engine is very responsive and the car stops on a dime. Rebuilt trans put in two years prior to purchase and was just replaced with another trans. Runs like new!
A Classic
Have over 200000 mi. Never had any major repairs to engine or transmission. Love this car. I will keep this car to the end.
Old Gold
June 2020 Just purchased a 1990 Riviera from a couple in Mitchell, Indiana. The car has 104,000 miles and has been garaged, so the body is immaculate. I’m impressed with the engine and the comfort of the vehicle and the fact that for under $3,000 I have something that looks and drives as well as a newer more expensive automobile.
Catchy Title
The tape player broke about a month after I bought it. It was my first car. as a high schooler, it served me very well. I never had any big problems with it. 5 years and I finally sold it because I was moving and I didn't take care of it cosmetically. for a 20+ year old car, I am still so proud that my first car took care of me.

BRASS AND CLASS
THIS RIVIERA FEELS LIKE LUXURY, AND HAS ALL CONVENIENCES OF LUXERY, BUT HANDLES LIKE A SPORTS. IT OUTDRIVES MANY OF THESE SO CALLED SPORTS CARS, TRUST ME I KNOW. THIS AUTO IS BETTER THAN BOTH CADILLAC'S I'VE OWNED.
Riviera Review
One of the finest automobiles I have owned and I have owned plenty! Only wish I could purchase a new on just like it. GM should never have changed/discontinued this model.
What a fantastic car ! Everyone loves it .
I am so happy with this vintage car . It runs perfectly and is so reliable.

My review
In my experience w/ this vehcicle it has been good. It has never let me down and has enough power to get you to what you need to do. It's a great car and if you are looking for a car under $4000 that's luxurious fast and stylish all in the same car, this is it.
My Baby
This automobile is the best road machine I've ever owned. It is the best built, easiest to maintain and gets the greatest fuel economy for it's size, weight and creature features. With an 18 gal tank full of gas I once drove 408 miles from KC to south central Minn without stopping to full up. You can't beat it in the mountians or the plains. Buick needs to bring this type of quality vehicle back into production Again! When General Motors built this car they broke the mold and built the best. Minor cosmetics items are all the repairs I've made to Baby and it's hard to find parts now. Next month, Florida!
Cool!
I love this car!!! It's Great!!!
Very happy except
It is a great car. The only thing I don't like is the gas tank door on these tend to rust long before any other part for some reason. There are not that many in the bone yard so I spent a whole day trying to find one.
ONE OF THE BEST
My 92 Riviera is one of the best I have ever owned. The ride and drive are one of a kind. The 21 city/29 HWY that I get out of her is awesome. Buick does need to bring this car back. They broke the mold when they built this car. I would say, "buy this type of car" to anyone who ask.
Exceptional Car!
I have now owned two 1992 Buick Riviera's and can honestly say these are the two best cars I've ever purchased. Looks, comfort, gas mileage and the greatest engine every made! My first riviera had 157,000 miles on it I gave to a fire victim in Julian, California and 4 years later it's still running! I missed that car from the day it left my driveway until I finally found my new pearl from Pasadena. I wish Buick still made these cars! If you can get your hands on a low mileage car -buy it!
Christmas in July
I was not looking, thinking about or considered a 27 yr old Buick Riviera (1992) but it suddenly appeared in my sight one day.....instant love. To cut a long story short i made an offer, it was accepted and i am now the proud owner of the car. I know nothing of it's history but it is virtually showroom new with 26k miles. Where in the world has it been for 27+ years ?? Trust me, it will never spend the night outside, never see a rain drop and will be pampered. It came with the original window sticker (which i framed) and m.s.r.p. was $28,000.00 +. It was love at first sight and a Christmas gift in July.
Love my Riviera
I just purchased my 2nd Riviera. It's a Florida car that I purchased from the original owners in their 90's. It's an immaculate 92 with 70,000 miles. I couldn't be happier being back in a Riveria. Unique styling, plenty of power and nice options! 😊

Used Riv
Reliable and handles well . It always starts and runs well . The ride is terrible (rides like a hay wagon) compared to my '93 OLDS 88 . The body has very little rust except for the rear subframe which I'm replacing with a nice rust free piece from Arizona . I bought this car because I love it's great looks .
Buick Riviera
I love the way it handles and the seats are comfortable. It has small scratches, one on the fender and the rims on the hubcaps are dented. And it of course use a lot of gas. Has an 18 gallon tank
Nice all around durable cars.
They are fast and durable with 3.8ltr Handles well for a sporty and classy car.
