This x3 is an agile and fun ride. Zero to 70 mph in seconds, quiet even after rattling around farm to market roads with farm or remodeling supplies. The color is very nice and even when I might exceed the posted speeds, no tickets so I am (tongue in cheek) thinking it is stealthy too! It is very cool looking and I've had lots of positive comments from both men and women so not much of a "chick ride" in my opinion. Only drawback is the built in safety feature that I dislike... If the driver or front seat passenger doesn't hit the unlock button positioned dead center of the dashboard then your passengers must "double tap" the door handles to open, which roughly translates to them trying to jerk the darn things off of the doors even if you remind them repeatedly!!! I wish that feature could be disabled but my service advisor tells me it can't.

My X3 never disappoints!

Best SUV I have ever owned. Test drove VW, Subaru, Ford, Toyota and BMW. When it came down to it the BMW was superior in every category. Even though for the price point I could only afford a Certified Used vehicle it was one of the best car decisions I have ever made. The acceleration is fabulous and never let's me down. Unfortunately I drive fast and my X3 is responsive and hugs every curve and blast the straight away in collaboration with my speed demon desires. It brakes on a dime, has plenty of room for me (6'0), my spouse (6'4) and my 2 flat back retreivers. Love this car😇

Great SUV - design, handling, electronics, &safety

Update - still running great! Now over 10 years and a little over 70,000 miles. Replaced the 10 year old battery when it started giving warnings about low charge. Other than that - all normal maintenance and fluid changes. Thought I would miss the IDrive remote app stuff but don't. I mounted a magsafe charger center of the console so have more than that on my iPhone there. Was rear ended on a trip through Connecticut about five years ago - repair was done very well but it was so sad our pristine baby was injured. $6,000 reduced value in the settlement after pressing the insurance company. We keep it looking brand new inside and out. Original review. Bought our 2015 for delivery at the plant in South Carolina. That was a great experience driving a car exactly like ours on the track and through their rough terrain and water course. The instructors were great and really helped us understand what the vehicle could do. It was so impressive to see what a difference the traction control features made on the wet track. The professional driver showed us and then let us experience the difference spinning out and really pushing it. The four years of full warranty went by very quickly. We took it on every long trip and I drove it on my business trips but we didn't get very far past 36,000 miles of the 50,000 that were covered. We have really enjoyed the car and are contemplating keeping it or getting another car under warranty. My wife likes to change models but this is the best car we have ever had and it looks nearly brand new. You will enjoy the way it drives, the great visibility, the panoramic sunroof, the top down view for parking. My favorite is the dynamic cruise control for changing traffic speeds on congested highways. The car will even stop and go for you in the worst of traffic and adjust to changes on any road.

The 3.5 accelerates and handles like a sports car. But it has the space and utility of an SUV. For someone with a family (or a dog like I have), who is also a car enthusiast it is a great option.

I wasn't a big German car fan because of operating costs and reliability. So I did something way, way out of character for me and purchased a higher mileage (93k) 2014 BMW X3 35i M Series xdrive. I covered my bases and purchased an very good extended warranty, so I'm protected just in case. But I have had really great luck with it so far! The only thing that happened was the passenger side front inside door handle (to open it) broke. Other than that nothing has went wrong. It drives amazing and has a ton of power! Especially in sport mode it will flat move!! I'm very happy with it and I'm sure I will keep it until the warranty runs out and then trade it for a New BMW X3 M Sport! :)

My 3rd purchase BMW but unfortunately the last one

I have owned BMW cars for the last two decades and this is unfortunately the last BMW I will own. Everything on this car is “melting” due to cheap parts and I live in a mild climate of North Carolina. Although I take good care of my car the seats made of “leatherette” are worn off and torn at 60,000 miles (both passenger and driver side) the rearview mirror has plastic melting down running down my windshield. You cannot touch the door handles as your hands will get very sticky! Absolute disgrace - save yourself the hassle and look for a new car elsewhere!

The best SUV we've owned so far.

My wife bought her 2014 X3 slightly used, she now has close to 100k miles on it and it drives like new. She has a bronze exterior with beige interior. It has heated seats, heated steering wheel, mirrors that tilt for parking, rear view cam, etc.. I absolutely love driving the X3 and I've owned many different vehicles including high end. The turbo 4-cylinder has amazing pickup and gets phenomenal gas mileage. The seats are super comfortable and I love the interior color. The info system is decent. The handing is quick and precise. The heated steering wheel gets legitimately hot. The decimals are quiet. She's only had to do normal maintenance like oil, brakes, tires etc.. The ONLY thing that wasn't a normal repair was the glovebox, the outer layer has started peeling off and BMW wouldn't cover it (and this is a common issue that many owners experience) Overall, the X3 has been a phenomenal vehicle that's fun to drive every time I jump in. It makes me love BMW even more than I did before. And it's been way more reliable than my MDX. We'll be driving it for many years to come.

Purchased vehicle about a month ago and have driven 2200 miles. Was nervous at first about 4 cyl engine but it has plenty of power. Recently got 27mpg on trip and that was better than Lexus 400h we traded in. Special ordered vehicle just the way we wanted with tech, parking assist, xenons, upgraded stereo and convenience package. Vehicle is very comfortable on long trips and heated steering wheel is a nice on cold nights. Build quality and dealer experience was first rate. We did purchase tire hazard warranty because of the run flats.

Execent SUV. It's a very reliable, luxury, confortable, spacious and fun ride to drive. An excelent quality interior materials. Only its gas mileage is not so good even on Eco mode, which I use most of the times.

I recently "test drove" a pre-owned 2014 X3. The dealer was very knowledgeable and we ended up driving about 15 miles during my drive. The car had 34K miles on it, yet it still looked new. The leather seats were in great shape. I have read some articles that mention a firm ride. I have been driving for 45 years and the X1 has one of the nicest (and sportiest) rides of the many vehicles I have driven. The ride was certainly not overly firm. In fact, it was downright fun. When the rear seats are folded, there is a surprising amount for room. If you want to have a little fun while driving your small SUV, this is the one to get. I just wish the new models weren't so expensive. Forty-five to fifty-five thousand is a lot of money for a small SUV, regardless of how nice it is. BTW: I did not reply to all of ratings because I did not have the opportunity to try all of them.
