2 months with our X1 M35, replaced our BMW i3.
We like the height of entry, as seniors we tried many models for ease of entry and exit. We have friends who always complain of the difficulty of their cars. Love the brakes, steering, ride, we use our X5 for distance travel but may take this on shorter trips.

BMW X1
Great build quality. Fun to drive, good handling & acceleration. Great fuel economy. There are some good M options you will want to add.

Beautiful and Boosty!
I built the 2025 M35i fully loaded and couldn’t be happier with the decision. All of the complaints are reserved for the base model. The M35i is fast and comfy. I added the M suspension and package. The 19 inch wheels on all season tires smoothed out all of the complaints you hear from people whining about ride quality. I have no buyers remorse 1200 miles in.

Underwhelming
This car has the ride comfort of a go-cart. Very stiff and rough with little discernible suspension. It is fun to drive if you can put up with the aforementioned. I didn’t really notice this until I had the car for a month or so. I thought it was just the rough road. BMW cheaped out in several areas. It may seem trivial but not having a glove box light is ridiculous. The door handles probably wont last two years before loosening up to an annoyable degree. Would not buy again and am looking to sell now. Garbage really for a “BMW”.
