Addictive acceleration and grip
This is my first review on Edmund’s. I owned a 2011 F10 BMW 550i M sport and decided to downsize once I saw the 2020 M340i. The car is amazing. Plenty of power almost instantly on tap and the grip is incredible. The steering is very sharp and precise. This car demands respect. I love the Sport Plus mode where the exhaust backfires. Sounds like a Porsche. I use the Sport Individual mode where I can tune the steering, engine and transmission to what I like. The M340i has M adaptive suspension, transmission and brakes. The braking is so important especially on this car. I have all the options except AWD and the optional 255 rear tires. This car has the latest BMW computer and ADAS system. I find the ADAS features overwhelming and actually annoying. The lane departure system is annoying and the car will try to steer you back into your lane if it feels you made a lane change too quickly. And the ADAS is always on when you turn the engine on, so you have to turn it off when you start the car by pressing a button in the dashboard. The remote access is very convenient as it unlocks the car and unfolds it the mirrors when you approach the car. The Automated Parking feature needs to be improved as I tried it once and if I had not paid attention it would have backed into a garbage bin. This is a driver’s car and the seats, steering and digital cluster are fantastic. The seats are very supportive. They should make the steering wheel and headrests also adjustable via switches, Right now they are manual. There are plenty of cup holders which is great, also in the doors, and 3 USB ports and wireless charging. The rear legroom is obviously less than a 5 series but still decent and you get an armrest with cup holders. The headroom is pretty good and the trunk space is quite large. This car is so fast that you definitely need to learn how to drive it and respect it. If you don’t want to buy an M this is the closest it can get to an M. The M340i will always put a smile on your face.

M power without the $90k pricetag
Hi all, I have a 2020 BMW M340i and I am shocked with the so called "cons" people have. I guess it's all opinion but I've owned many BMW's, Mercedes AMG's, Infiniti's, etc. All higher power sports sedans and I will say that the M340i checks all boxes. Great styling, Great Tech, Tons of power and the ability to add more power (tune), $30k less than an true M car and honestly only .2 -.4 seconds slower to 60 that a RWD M3 comp. Is the extra 30k worth it? Not sure but I am a fan of the entire brand but I will say depending on when you buy, spending over $60k for this car makes no sense. I targeted 1 year old (still new on the lot and RWD) and paid $51k, all in. With that price, there is NOTHING even close that compares. The ONLY con I have for this car is I could not match the RWD to a manual transmission. This car with RWD is begging for it.

Fast, comfortable, awesome handling, and Fast...great vehicle!
This is a Performance car
So like I stated before this is a performance car not much as a luxury car. Although it does come with some very cool features, like remote start, ambient lights and 2 big screens still lags compared to Mercedes-Benz. But if you really want a mean machine this is the car to buy this engaging 8 speed transmission and the that turbo engine are underrated.

M Life Style
I previously had a sports car (2018 Camaro SS) but this car is on a whole different level (2020 BMW M340i) The comfort, the power, the luxurious of the car. The list is never ending! there’s no comparing these two cars. I am more than happy to be back in the BMW family.

Perfect Sedan with a Powerful Engine
I currently own a CPO 2020 M340i RWD in Tanzanite II Blue Metallic with over 70k miles. The car has a custom downpipe, exhaust, springs, and spacers. I love how luxurious and comfortable it feels compared to Asian Cars. I’m coming from Kia. The iDrive system with the control wheel has become second nature. The car drives smoothly and gets the power down. I would recommend switching to PS4s or Yokohamas. The stock run flats don’t hook. The only issue I have had with the car was an AC recharge at like 60k miles. If you’re a single person, this car is perfect for daily or weekend needs.
A worthy upgrade
Replaced my ‘05 three series with this. A definite step up.
