The best engine, worst infotainment

BMW knows how to build a car and engine. They however don’t know anything about how to properly make computer systems.. Nothing is more frustrating then getting into a fantastic driving machine only to have a infotainment system that is literally useless. With constant reboots, freezing and sometime not even turning on , all without the ability to totally shut the system off, you quickly find out how much you just want out of the car.sure there is the display off option , however ... that doesn’t mean the system is actually off. Oh even better let’s try to completely reset the whole system without needing the dealership... also not an option. Cap that off with BMWs most amazing NON TRANSFERABLE warranty , and your looking at an easy and unrealizable repai that cost anywhere from $1000 or more . I still love the brand , BMW makes true luxury sports car and the build quality shows all of that. style wise the car is timeless and hold a unique design that no matter what year or model you drive , if well maintained and cared for, will still grant you many compliments. Interior is symplistic and comfortable and lush in soft touch areas and high quality hardware and leathers . Seats are firm and supportive, engine noise is let in just enough to let the driver feel truly satisfied when stepping on the gas peddle. The sport seats hug but and can be tight for larger frames , but have the option of electronic adjustability . Remove the rediculous IDRIVE BMW system and you have a piece of German engineering that is a vehicle that is sexy to look and a true fun. Fast joy to drive.

Simply put the best drivers car in this segment! I tried them all and this one feels the most connected to the road. Put it in sports plus mode and it becomes a different animal' Owned this car for over a year now. No mechanical issues. Still feels good. No noises or rattles to speak of. Still very happy with my choice. Just past the 2 year mark. Still happy with my choice . No mechanical problems. Low cost of ownership. All maintenance still covered. Great car!

The Three Didnt Fit Me

The lease payments were the hook, very affordable and I wanted to have this BMW driving experience. However, after adding the protection add ons, due to my lease paranoia, i.e. scratch guards, tire repair, glass protection , the cost increased almost to the point of me backing out. Anyway, the car felt great at the test drive and the during the time I had it. It performed as expected and was everything BMW said it would be. My only negative was on the interior. The head and leg room were perfect, however, after the first month I realized it was just too small (In the shoulder space) for a man of my size (6 foot, 250 lbs, size 56 reg jacket). In the end, I should have opted for the 5 series.

This is a great car! It's fast (especially in sport plus mode with the transmission lever kicked to the left), fun to drive, handles confidently, looks and feels elegant (at least with the leather seats and wood trim) and has intuitive tech features. I also love the car's styling- It's sporty and aggressive, but refined enough to take to a michelin rated restaurant or valet park at the Ritz. Overall, I think the 328i (and 340i) are a best-of-all-worlds choice. You can't go wrong with this car.

Solid performance for everyday use. Great handling sports sedan which is a joy to drive. BMW incorporates just enough technology to keep commutes interesting with sport mode option. Clean crisp gear shifts which enhance the BMW driving experience.
