No compromises
Bought the BMW 325i after considering 2003 Honda Accord coupe, VW Passat, Nissan Altima. The BMW was the best by far. You don't compromise anything when buying the BMW. Great styling, handeling, performance, quality and a luxury brand. I was yelling-out-loud happy while driving it home!
I love my 325i
I have a 2001 325 (which I think is better looking than the later facelifted models), and really enjoy it. I picked it up in Germany, and drove it on the autobahns for 2 weeks-- I HIGHLY recommend you take advantage of BMW's european delivery program. The car has been absolutely reliable-- but there have been a few rattles that bugged me (I fixed them myself w/ some felt). options 5 speed manual Cold-weather packaged moonroof leather sports package Get these while you can-- as you can see from the new 7 and 5 series, BMWs are becoming quite ugly!

Every drive is great !!!
This is my third BMW . First car was a 1973 3.0 CS , next was a 1976 2002. As a car dealer I get a company car so it's been a long time since I actually owned a car. After Sept 11th I decided to get a " real car" if that makes any sense . I love this car, have a 5 speed w/ Sport package ,Premo pack , Cold pack ,gray leather, Xenon lights & dark blue met paint. In a over a year its been completly problem free . I had to get snow tires living in NY but that,s all .
a great ride
pricey but fun
good job
now suprises... Performs just as promised..
Bang for you buck
I tested all of the entry level luxury vehicles. Looking for the best value, maintenance, insurance and resale. BMW came out on top. A great balance between sport and luxury. The TL was boring, the A4 lost touch with its sporty side, and IS300 was uncomfortable and the list goes on. Suggestion, if you love to drive, get the car! When you go to buy the car bring the Edmunds information with you. I did and the salesman recognized I did my homework and I got a better deal than the TMV. Thanks Edmunds!!
My dream car
I upgraded from a '99 BMW 328i to a 2002 BMW 330i, so you know I was pleased with my 1st BMW experience. I bought a "program" car with 15K miles with almost all the options including Sport/premium package, Xenon and heated seats. My previous car did not have the sport package or Xenon. This model has auto-head lights. I would recommend this car to anyone who loves to drive with enthusiasm and likes "performance" driving, but not to someone looking for a luxury car. Can't wait to try it on the track! If you can afford it, get the Performance package.
BMW 2002
The best car "i've owned. Better than the Mercedes in quality and fun to drive is unequaled.
There's NONE better! :)
I love, love, love this car! I have the 330i with the high performance package. I have M3 18 inch staggered wheels, M3 steering wheel, navigation system, bi-xenon-auto leveling headlights, rain sensing wipers... the list goes on. I was hesitant to buy this car 2 years ago with 64k on it, but with all of the service records available, I took the risk. I now have 101K on the odometer and it's still purring (or growling with the dual chrome exhaust!) right along! I also have the Harmon Kardon sound system which is awesome. I owned a '98 328i previous to this car and I can't see EVER owning anything but a Bimmer!!
Best in its class
After exhaustively looking for a 4-door sedan in th $30-$35K price range, I finally decided on a 2002 325i. I'm very happy with my selection. It is simply the best compared to the competition. Sure the Infiniti G35 may be faster, and the Mercedes C240 may have a more refined and quieter ride. However, the 325i has the best combination of fun and comfort in this price range. Everything about it has a quality feel - the way the doors close, the sound of the Inline 6 cyl. engine, and the textures and materials used in the cabin.
Continually impressed
Just got back from test driving a 330i with Perf & Sport pack and Steptronic. Incredible. This car is flat-out brilliant. I currently own a 99 323i - has been hands-down the best car I've ever owned. Not sure if I should sell it because the experience has been truly stunning. After 3 years it just gets better and better (33K and it drives exactly like new). But the 330i is a special car that in my estimation offers the best blend of performance, luxury and quality of any sports sedan.
well refined inline 6
German mentality to build a car is that they tend not to cut corners in upcoming years and they continuously improving nuances on their cars. I frequently find myself more relaxed listening to the symphony of this inline six than music. Keep your impulses under careful check when you are sure that you have found a finer car, you may find a faster one, but good luck on the other aspects...
BMW 330i
Had the car for a year, absolutley love it. I slave over it to keep it clean and it still looks brand new. Only complaints I have are break dust and rock chips from Interstate driving. Then again, with breaks this big, who cares about dust! A joy to drive everytime you get behind the wheel!! It's not rated as the best sports sedan for nothing!!
great fun sedan
Have had this BMW for about 9 months. It replaced a Camry -- much more fun to drive, more comfortable, great front end look. I live in LA and this car makes me love driving!
One Heck of Good Automobile
This car has simply been the best car I've ever owned. In terms of performance, there is no sedan on the road the compares to this car. Being a motorcyle rider all my life, I enjoy to open it up on the road sometimes as well has hammer a few corners here and there. Here's my advise, if you want luxury and don't want to miss having a sports car, this is the car for you. You will not be dissapointed.
Quality+Fun
The best car I've ever owned. I read an article in the July 2002 Popular Science that describes it best: "This car is keen-spirited, enthusiastic, on the edge of its chair awaiting the next command". The BMW 330i is a car that you want to spend a lot time with. I like to drive it with the stereo off just so I can listen to it. A true work of art.
Very Disappointed !!!!!!!!
I have a momentary significant engine hesitation on slow accelerations; I have taken the car to BMW 6 times for this problem. I have taken the car 7 times for a distinct whine at 70 MPH coming from the rear end or the manual transmission; BMW changed the rear end fluid and then the rear end. The gas pedal sticks after 30 minutes of use; it's been changed two times. The radiator requires filling every 7 weeks to bring the coolant level back up to full on the float stick. BMW has tried to fix the above items, but refuses to work on any of the anymore. The driver shoulder harness tensioner has been replaced twice.
Awesome car
I bought this Certified Pre-Owned car with 11,000 miles. There were several things that needed replacing that was thankfully covered by warranty. I've had no other problems since the warranty expired a year ago. It's such a fun car to drive and a real head-turner.
I made the right choice.
After months(3)of comparing cars (G35,AudiA4,Bmw 325i), I chose the BMW. While the G35 offers far more power, and handles great, I did not like its exterior design. I tried to like it because it made the most sense but...I couldn't. The A4 looks great, but, let's be honest, it looks too much like the Passat. It took 2 test drives to convince me that the best choice (for me) was the 325. One last thing, two words: Sports package!
Tires don't last long
I love driving the car, but I can't seem to get a set of tires to last more than 15,000 miles. Also, maintenance is expensive. A trip to the service department averages $1,000.
Fun, Fun, Fun
Previous car was an Audi A-6. My 325 has the sport package and premium package which I recommend. I also have the nav system which has been great. The seats are the absolute best, more comfortable that the 7 series. Motor growl is wonderful, better than the V8. Handling, steering, suspension are supurb. Unfortunately, reliability is not there.
Great car but still needs improvement...
325i - 5M, sport package, leather seat, moonroof, HK sound, xenon lights - Tight steering, great handling, love the gearbox. I'll probably add a couple of things to increase the power/torque. Should probably cost 2K less, unless that 2K is the price you pay for being in the club. I would recommend the 330i over the 325i if you can afford it. Overall, it's a great car.
Cool
I used to own a 1999 328 which was excellent, my 2002 330i is even better (more power) and I enjoyed it a lot when I picked it up in Munich, Germany. With more power it still gives me good mileage and it's engine is so willing to drive fast (it start to accelerate more when you reach 100+ mph!!)
best damn car built = 325i sedan
car is fun and easy to drive and very comfortable for a 6'1" driver and if necessary no car has any better acceleration in it's class and price.
Holding up well at 25k
It was either this or the A4 1.8T at the time after narrowing the field but I got a better deal on the 325, plus the 6-cyl had a better feel to it. The 325 handles great in all kinds of conditions (doesn't snow so much in Los Angeles but I've driven in rain, traffic jams, mountain roads, city streets). No problems yet, just routine maintenance & replacement of back brakes (probably due to freeway congestion & starts/stops). It's hard to describe, but it feels more solid & glued to the road, quicker and safer than any other sedan you might otherwise buy.
One of the best cars in the market!
The car drives just fine, very quiet and fun to drive, very good gas mileage, corners very well, excellent acceleration, very well designed in and out!! Maintaning the car is an issue with the unlogical prices and labor charges dealer will charge just because it is BMW! You really pay for the name and not the part/labor! Very frustrating.
BMW 330i is overpriced; lacks space
I bought the BMW330i because of the rave reviews at Edmunds.com. It does handle quite well, is a lot of fun to drive, and let's face it, part of driving a BMW is pure showing off that you can afford one. I made the mistake of getting the automatic transmission, thinking that the city stop-and-go traffic would be worth it, but it isn't. I've had both the manual and auto, and manual is better-- much more fun. The automatic is very smooth, but the Steptronic shifting is a bit shaky--no substitute for the real manual.
ALMOST PERFECT...
This vehicle IS fun to drive. It handles extremely well around the turns, has above avg acceleration, and excellent braking ability. The car does not do well in the snow even w/ the DSC traction control on, but I knew that before I purchased. When negotiating the price, the dealer would not budge much at all.Everybody wants one of these bad boys and they know that.BMW also has a high resale value - another big plus! Gas/brake pedal are too close together.I wear a size 12 mens shoe. Many times a get my foot caught under the brake pedal when taking my foot off the gas and attempting to brake-NotGood
"Simply Awesome"
Simply,I can't imagine owning anything else. The service has been the most pleasing of any auto I've owned. The purchase was hassle free. I never cease to receive complements on the car. Ask yourself ...when is the last time you've heard "awesome car" stated in reference to the one you are currently driving. it happens to me all of the time (even when its dirty).
Beautiful ride
very very smooth.... could it get any better
325 I
Excellent car. more expensive then other makes. You pay for every option, but everything is quality and one step above anything else
The Perfect Blend
Absolute luxury when you are cruising the highways, a 4 door sports car when you hit the windy mountain roads. The transmission is a work of art. The car has amazing composure. The communication between myself, the car , and the road was so in sync. I have been driving assorted audis for the past 15 years. All I can say is, I just didn't get it. The BMW is the ultimate driving machine. There is not a better entry level sport luxury. If you wanted what this car has to offer, in luxury, performance, features, safety, relia bility...you would be spending $10,000- $15,000 more. Join me in the experience!
I LOVE MY BEEMER
I love this car
Favorite
Despite a rash of early warranty repairs, this is my favorite car ever. The dealer has been excellent. The driving dynamics are unmatched for a sedan. The AWD is a champ in bad weather.
Less Car for More Money
Wish I had waited one more month. Test drove the Infiniti G35 recently and there is no comparison. More room, more zip, more horsepower, longer warranty, better service (I have heard) and 8 - 10K less. Vanity and ego kicks my ass again. No more ultimate driving machine for BMW...move over the king is dead. BTW...took a huge hit on my trade in...some value...haaaaaa!!!
BRAKES??
the rear brakes seem like a problem as does the clunking in the automatic transmission and the heating system is strange; it doesn't heat up completely in cold weather
Just did it.
It took me a long time to decide to invest the money for the 325i with all the goodies, but it is worth every penny. I am loving it!
Awesome
What a machine. The more curves in the road the better the ride. You can be crusing at 60, punch it and still have incredible power. Best money I ever sent.
One fun car!
Fantastic car. Handles like a dream, looks great inside and out. Tons of well thought out features, beautifully designed interior. Superb manual transmission, brakes, cornering. Loaded with safety features.
Happy about my 330i
I chose the European delivery option for my BMW 330i. Whether driving it on the autobahn or out to dinner at night I have been completely impressed with my car. My previous car was a 1994 BMW 325is. BMW has continued to impress me by their ability to constantly improve their cars. I loved by old car, but I like my new one even more. It is a pure sport driving pleasure when I want it, but easy and comfortable to drive at all times. It's the perfect balance.
VERY FUN TO DRIVE
this car is so smoooth and fast. I am often driving at 90mph on the freeway without knowing. it is amazing. best feeling to drive. BMW is definately the ultimate driving machine
BMW 325i - Best automobile ever!!!
What a great car. I'm hard to please when it comes to automobiles and always sell them fast. I've kept this car for 2 years now and love it. I will certainly purchase another BMW in the future.
BMW Racer
I like the 325i for its quick response, both in handling and acceleration. I like the comfort of the leather seats and the open convertible feeling when the sunroof is open. I enjoy the look of the BMW and the feeling I get when driving up and down BIg Bear Mountain!

Beama beama
Best car I've ever owned. It's a beauty.
I WILL NEVER BUY DOMESTIC AGAIN!
This was and is my favorite car by far I have ever owner, its handling, cornerings, styling for the price are by far superier to any other car out there. The reliability in impeccable, as well as the general stylings of the car. I would highly recommend this car to ANYONE! Young/old, male/female!
My first BMW
My only complaint about this car is that it is terrible in the snow. Otherwise, it's great. I love it.
buy this car
rocket, perfect handling for 4 door sedan. High price but worth every penny. If you need 4 doors and seat 3-4 people and want a sports car- this is it. Absolute rocket, the only sedan I will buy. Compared to any other sedan (audi, mercedes ,etc)- this is it. Not my first 3 series and the only sedan I will buy.
A SUPERIOR CAR
This vehicle has surpassed my expectations. The ride and handling are excellent. I expected the AWD system to be a drag on the acceleration but I have been pleasantly suprised by the responsiveness of this XI model. To summarize, this is a great car. If only BMW would provide a a stereo system worthy of the overall performace of this remarkable vehicle.
Excellent car ever!!
Best Bimmer for sports driving
Ultimate Driving Machine
If you enjoy performance driving this is the car for you. This car begs to be pushed to it's limits. I drove a Boxter and the Bimmer handles better.
