There's always a glitch
Love everything about my 2017 TTS--except an o -ring on the pressurized oil line to the turbo charger was leaking from day 1. I got a warning at just over 200mi. Was promptly fixed, but my driveway is a mess with oil stains! Not wat to expect from a $60,000 vehicle.

Perfect for driving the twisty turny roads I love.
This car handles like a dream. It really shows it stuff on twisty, turny mountain roads which are the type I love to drive. There is plenty of HP for rapid acceleration with beautiful big brakes for stopping on a dime. I never cared about straight line speed so the 0 to 60 rate rarely mattered. (This one is about 4 seconds) What I do want is a car that can make rapid acceleration without the turbo lag I experience in many other cars getting off the mark. I anticipated that the ride might be overly harsh but have not found that to be the case particularly when set in comfort drive. Because it is so easy to go fast in this one without realizing it, I did purchase a radar detector after getting stopped the second day I owned it going 30 over! The ride was so comfortable that I had no idea I was going that fast. In the sport setting you can feel the suspension difference and really feel the throttle response quicken up. While the engine noise increases it is not as noisy as I anticipated and think some of the noise may be falsely generated into the car cabin. I am old enough that I don't need my car to announce itself by the vroom vroom sound it makes! If you wanted it louder, I think that changing out the cold air intake would be sufficient unless you want it really loud in which case you may want to change the exhaust. My car has the competition package which I would definitely recommend. The interior upgrades are well worth the money alone. I love those red leather seats and carbon fiber surfaces. Outside I have a fixed rear spoiler which again wouldn't have been a game changer for me if it was missing. Having had other cars where the spoiler only opens at a faster rate of speed or where manually opened from inside the car, I have often thought it was like a wave to the police to take a look at my speed! I am still getting used to the virtual cockpit. As I hate the dashes which have a laptop glued on, having it all contained in one area behind the steering wheel is a plus. Because the gages move dependent on the view selected, it did take a while for me to figure out where to find everything. It has Android Auto which I love but does have to be plugged into the USB to engage. (Apple Car Play also available). While my current circumstances do not warrant the added cost of a dedicated WiFi for the car, I can see where if you travel alot this would be a great feature as well. There is a CD player in the already small glove box which is next to impossible to reach while driving. That is a rarity these days. The speakers sound above average and there are plenty of them! The only thing I would change is to include a panoramic glass roof. With a passenger onboard it does get a bit claustrophobic and that would help open it up. Otherwise this is a sporty car which looks great and more importantly is great fun to drive.

TTS for Life
This is my 5th or 6th TT, and my second TTS. Fair to say I'm an expert on owning/driving TTs. For a single person (or couple), this car meets all requirements: utility (hatchback), gas economy (32+ hwy), performance (4.4 sec for TTS), handling (dynamic suspension and turns on a "dime"), safety (8 airbags, side assist, turning lights, super large brakes), comfort (12-way power seats, height/telescopic steering), navigation (turn-by-turn, voice), carplay/android play, B&O sound, satellite radio, and DVD/CD player! Remember, this is not for a family (back seats are only for an infant or small pet perhaps). And despite the hatchback, space is still limited so buy something bigger if you routinely haul more than groceries, small shopping items, or a bicycle (rear seats fold). Finally, don't forget it has ALL-WHEEL DRIVE so this car can be driven year-round! Audi stopped making the TT in 2023 so buy a used one before they can no longer be found. Good luck!
