Overview
There's a lot to like about the Audi A7. It's based on Audi's A6 midsize sedan but it has a sleeker profile and a rear hatchback for greater cargo-carrying versatility. It's a great all-arounder, but its 335-horsepower engine might seem a little lacking to buyers looking for an engaging sport sedan. Thankfully, the 444-horsepower 2021 Audi S7 is also available and ready to satisfy your requirement for velocity.

The Audi S7 is more than just an A7 with a thrilling motor, of course. It also includes several performance-oriented upgrades not available on the A7. These include larger wheels with summer tires to improve grip and an optional package with a sport rear differential and a more boisterous exhaust note.
Worthy rivals to the S7 include the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class, BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe and Porsche Panamera. All have coupe-like styling and plenty of potential for performance. Among this group, the S7 easily holds its own.
2021 Audi S7 trim level differences
The 2021 Audi S7 is a five-passenger luxury sport sedan with a hatchback-style trunk. It comes in Premium Plus and Prestige trim levels. All S7s have a turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine (444 horsepower, 443 lb-ft of torque), all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The engine also makes use of a 48-volt mild hybrid system designed to maximize fuel efficiency. The S7 is sportier and more powerful than the Audi A7 but slots under the high-performance RS 7 — both of which are reviewed separately. Standout features for the S7 include: Compare the 2021 Audi S7 trim levels in-depth.
Which S7 trim does Edmunds recommend?
Most S7 buyers should be just fine with the base Premium Plus trim. It has plenty of features, and you can use the cost savings compared to the Prestige to get a few extra options, such as the Executive package, if you like.

2020 Audi S7 Prestige 4dr Sedan AWD (2.9L 6cyl Twincharger gas/electric mild hybrid 8A)
This car is the bob with the latest technology. The glass screens in this vehicle are touch. However most of the actions can be activated by talk. I will admit it takes a little time to acclimate yourself to the touch screens. I take my hat off to Audi for the Technology.
The performance of this vehicle is awesome. So far I have not experienced and Turbo lag; just outright … acceleration.
This vehicle also has luxury. Basically you are buying a car that has the total PACKAGE.
If you are in for a vehicle that you can drive everyday and have some fun aaaaaand never get bored. Buy the S7

2020 Audi S7 Prestige 4dr Sedan AWD (2.9L 6cyl Twincharger gas/electric mild hybrid 8A)
This car is amazing! Handling and obviously acceleration are great. Rides much better than I would have thought considering it has the 21” tire and wheel package. Bang & Olufson sound system is also great. Boy, does this car have a ton of electronic nannies watching over you while driving.
What I really don’t like? The start/stop feature is irritating. Too bad it can’t be … overrode. You can turn it off by hitting a button but when you turn off the car it defaults back to on.

2020 Audi S7 Prestige 4dr Sedan AWD (2.9L 6cyl Twincharger gas/electric mild hybrid 8A)
I have owned the 10 months now and I am 100% pleased. First thing I noticed was how smoothe the car rides but stepping on the gas gives more than ample power and with the "S" package the AWD and traction control make it a winner. Inside its technology and luxury all the way. The throaty exhaust make the car fun to drive. Other than the annoying gas saver function that needs to be engaged … each time you drive it's a beautiful thing to look at and drive
