Superb SUV, powerful, library quiet and efficient
I have owned my Q7 55 TFSI for 23 months, have driven it about 23,000 miles, and I am still very happy with it overall. There are definitely some improvements Audi could make. Not enough storage in the center console and I am not a fan of no spare tire, to name a few. Others complain about fuel consumption, but I find it to be very fuel efficient. If I don’t drive it hard, or over 75 on the freeway I get 28 mpg, depending upon the weather. Since driving off the dealer lot I have gotten 21.1 mpg overall. I had a V6 VW Atlas that had a hard time getting 23 mpg and I had Ford Expedition that didn’t really ever get over 21 mpg. I think the Q7 is fuel efficient for a 5,000 pound SUV. If your experience is with smaller, lighter, less powerful vehicles, or you have a heavy right foot, you may disagree with me. This is by far the quietest vehicle I have owned. Is it silent inside? No, but it is extremely quiet on decent roads and it can can give a feeling of serenity. This is also a very comfortable vehicle in the front and middle seats, the third row is tolerable for adults on short trips. 98% of the time I have had the third row stowed in my vehicles and it’s not a problem. Other high points: The electronics have worked very well and the Bang & Olufson 3D stereo is terrific. The eight speed transmission is sublime. For a three row SUV it has very good handling, the V6 turbo makes it quick, and it can be a lot of fun to drive. I would recommend this vehicle based on my experience. If you need a SUV that can tow and has a third row this is a great choice. If you also want performance, this is an even better choice.

Buyer's Remorse
I decided to buy an Audi when I needed to hand down my Lincoln Aviator to an employee. Now I regret it. Below is my stream of conscience list of complaints. I don't like the jerkiness of the lane assist, so I turned it off. After starting the car a few times (and there's no pattern to it), it comes back on. There's no place for sunglasses except for a mini-glove compartment at my left knee. If you forget to shut the little door, you will hit your knee on it when you exit the car. The phone charger is in the console, so the console is literally 2 inches deep, and it's really only a phone warmer, which stops the phone charging. To put the car in reverse, you push the gear forward. :/ The cup holders are so tight, beware of puncturing a styrofoam cup when you put it in the holder. When I'm parking (straight in to a spot), the sensors don't warn me that I'm getting close to an object in front of me. With my phone on CarPlay, I can switch to the radio--yes, I'm one of those people who still likes the radio. Sometimes it switches back to CarPlay for no apparent reason. The adaptive cruise control automatically changes the speed based on the speed limit, so as soon as it sees the new lower limit, you feel like you might have a whiplash because the change is so abrupt. The Aviator camera issue was truly annoying, but I liked everything else about it. As soon as it's feasible financially, I will be selling the Q7. The main positives are the looks (complete strangers tell me it's a beautiful car, maybe because I had it wrapped in red), and the air ride model that I have makes for a very smooth ride. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Audi Prestige is the height of luxury in a SUV
I am thrilled with my Audi Q7 Prestige 2023 which I now driven the first 1000 miles. As a 76 year old with back issues I was looking for comfort and quiet and the Q7 delivers. The Q7 is better powered than its competitors and engine noise is smooth and almost unnoticeable. The interior is beautifully designed and worthy of the price. The information system is new to learn but once I learned audi's approach it was easy to use. I had tested several luxury models and found that to gain MPG manufacturers are under powering these heavy vehicles. Not the case for the Audi, particularly with the V6 engine.

NO TO RUN FLAT TIRES
Run flat tires are ok on a perfectly smooth highway but will rattle your teeth and jump with every small bump. Run flat tires ruin the smooth ride advertised by Audi. At my dealer, you cannot upgrade the standard rims without opting for the run flat tires. Horrible! Unless you want a bumpy ride, skip the run flat tires.
TOO MUCH TECH
Terrible map. Among other things, can’t be adjusted while driving. AC resets itself after you’ve gotten it the way you want it. Model I traded (2017) was much more user friendly than my 2022.
