Run Flats??? WTF did you ruin a fantastic car??

I was considering it, and it was my top choice until I found out they only come with Run Flats. After my experience with Run Flats on a Toyota, I will NEVER AGAIN own a car on Run Flats. They ride poorly, have no milage warranty, last half as long as other tires, and are EXPENSIVE to replace. Sorry Audi, I LOVE My A5 Cabrio, but will now buy someone else's car just because of the Run Flats.

Two years in...

I have had the 3.0 premium plus for two years now- about 17k miles which have been mostly road trips of 2-8 hrs max. I love driving it on the open roads here in the southeast. Fun to drive: fast, comfortable, quiet and strong acceleration between 60-70 MPH - I call this aggressive defensive driving; like passing a couple of cars quickly to avoid a slow moving truck ahead - and it can be fun! 75-85 is a nice range for it. We travel regionally with three adult sized people and never use the third row, so space for luggage, sports equipment is fine for us. After two years have finally figured out electronics. We have not had the electrical or mechanical problems others have had, save one MMI reboot early on. I like the pre-sense basic and like the warning and lights on the mirror so I don’t know if I want HUD because it’s fun car to be engaged driving in. Cameras are good, but could be brighter. Space is limited with rear seats up, minimal storage space, annoying jack system, which we leave out most of the time - there is Audi care! Have updated maps when i am in my garage - Try going to the menu options and navigate through to the prompts to update. It may be using my phone data, but it does download without the Audi connect active. Minor brake noise and do not like limited tire replacement options. Goodyear RF 20” Tires likely won’t last more than 25k so this will be an expense. Only other issue is that i am larger and side bolsters could be a tiny bit wider. I am not cramped, but at 6-3 200lbs I liked the seats in the older models better. I do wish I ordered it with factory tow package though. Audi wants 2k for a tow package install when factory option was 550. I missed that! Overall because we have not had major issues, i absolutely love to drive this car and will be heartbroken if it starts to let me down with mechanical or electrical issues. Hopefully not, because Dealer is TUL and given past dealings doubt I would get good help.

We purchased a 2017 Q7 Premium Plus CPO from our local dealer with 34K miles. We have had it for a year and are very happy with the car. Rides great. Is quiet inside. Drives like a dream. Very agile and quick for a large car. I would buy again. Our brakes do squeak some when backing up and applying the break. Don’t let that stop you from purchasing one. You can get a great deal on a used CPO. Our sticker was $65K and we paid $35K. I e had a lot of cars in my life and this one is the best hands down!
