Used 2005 Audi A4 1.8T Fwd 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl Turbo CVT) Consumer Reviews
Perspicacious People Need Only Apply
My last car was an early 2000 BMW 5 series. Before that, a VW. German cars are the only way to go. I had my mind set on acquiring another (used) BMW until I came across my soon to be 05 Audi A4 1.8T CVT. The moment I test drove it, I knew that I wanted it. The turbo charged 170 hp A4 is FAST. That, along with exceptional handling, automatic height adjusting driver seat, cruise control, and an AC that still continues to put strong frosty cool air makes it a lot of fun to drive. Since its a turbo and add to that my heavy left foot, the gas mileage isn't so grand. This car requires care. I drive it hard and I care for it just the same. Don't wait til 5000 or 7000 miles to change the oil. Change it every 3000. Make sure everything under the hood that is plastic and/or rubber is free from any cracks, holes, or punctures. Love this car and it will love you right back

Its the middle of year 16 in my love hate relationship yet the thought of a divorce is still very painful. It seems obvious now that the end is near. After having provided me with total comfort, beautiful 8 way adjustable leather seats, controls at my fingertips, a great Bose sound system for when I wanted to drive fast and furious, plenty of leg and arm room, a trunk that brought home huge loads from Costco every few weeks and backseat legroom that could fit several of the 5 gallon plants from Lowes on the floor behind the seats, I will be very sad to say good by to my friend. Oh and how can I forget my best friend who rides on my lab every trip with plenty of room between the steering wheel and myself for her to fit her soft furry little body as she is buckled in tight against me. Having leased you for 3 years then bought out the lease and then fed you money on a regular basis to replace what feels like every part of your anatomy and send you in for several risky operations it seems this time the odds are not in your favor. Your diagnosis being abs control module disease along with check light syndrome, accompanied by the notorious blinking break light which causes odometer failure, has led to the grim prognosis that your chances of survival will only leave you worth $1000 after having spent another $4000 just to keep your breathing. For this reason I have decided after consultation with my priest rabbi and pastor as well as my mechanic that its time to pull the plug and set you free. You lived a good life with my butt in your seat, my face in your mirror, and all of me across the back seats on occasion. But hey I may actually buy your great grandchild in a 2017 model of the A4 which is still very much the same car in many respects. Hard to give up what I have become so used to despite the high cost to drive a luxury car.

Great All Around Sedan
Went with the Ultrasport model in Brilliant Red. The paint along with the quality of materials is flawless. 18" wheels, bodykit, and performance suspension are great. Car not as fast as an S4 but it handles great and gets excellent gas mileage. Interior is perfect.
the key to Audi
Lovely car, excellent to drive good to own and the residuals are great. its my third new one in three years, but they have got to sort out the key fobs. they keep on failing and are driving me batty. Paul
A fun car to drive...
I've had this car for the past month and I love every drive I take. The CVT transmission is so smooth it's a little disconcerting at first. The sport mode is a much peppier ride and the 6 speed tiptronic is smooth and powerful. Excellent trunk space with neat extra features such as cargo-net hold-downs. The Premium Package really rounds out the comfort with leather seats and power sunroof. The stock sound system is plenty powerful and sounds great, with another nice feature; when you turn on the system it can default to a preset volume, so you'll never be blasted out of your seat from playing loud music on the way home from the night before...
