This car just feels well-built, considerably better than the ''09 Subaru Outback Limited we had. The engine, while not perfectly refined, is adequately quiet and smooth. The ride is a strong point, firm without being harsh, a delicate balance. I'd read complaints that the car wasn't fast enough, but we find it quite quick, so drive one before judging it by that. Definitely a sporty feel without compromising comfort. The greenhouse design, on the sleek side, leaves a little to be desired as far as outward visibility. The dashboard was much better in person than it looked in pictures; it's uncluttered, and the controls are well-integrated. There's a very slight rattle coming from the flip-down sunglass holder, but otherwise the car feels bank-vault solid. We average 28.5 mpg on road trips at highway speeds of 80 mph. The car's been trouble-free. UPDATE 11/17/17: The car’s still as solid-feeling and trouble-free as the day we bought it. The build quality is amazing. If you research this model, it’s known as being among the most reliable of its time, and that’s proving to be the case. UPDATE 5/30/18: We've put a lot of miles on the TSX Sport Wagon and it's been 100% reliable. We do wish it had the backup camera. The way the car's designed it's difficult to tell how close you are to something when you're backing up. But no squeaks or rattles have developed and all of the interior and exterior materials have held up perfectly. The TSX is a paragon for how cars should be built.

This is a fantastic, trouble free car. I’ve had zero problems at 108,000. It accelerates beautifully and holds the road at 75-80 mph as well as any car I’ve ever owned. The controls are easy to use. If you love the feel of the road and the ease of a wagon, this is the perfect car. My only complaint is that Acura stopped producing this model. (I like it so much that I actually wrote to Acura asking them to consider producing it again. )

Good vehicle

Found a well preserved '14 TSX Wagon Tech Pckge w/75,XXX miles and jumped on it. Only a month so far, but the car has not disappointed. It is eight years old now, so it's not equipped with the latest/greatest technology, yet it's fine for me. It's not a large vehicle, but there's ample cargo room; I believe it's very nearly the equal of the new CR-V in cu ft. My Great Dane fits quite nicely in the back. The interior is not overtly luxurious, but it's very comfortable , useful, attractive and well constructed . Yeah, there are a lot of buttons, but they are laid out sensibly and become familiar fairly easily. The viewscreen is not overly large and is recessed in the top center of the dash; it's fine at night, but at certain times of the day can be a little tough to see. I actually rather like that it's not a touchscreen; the big rotary dial selector sits dead center in the dash and works well. The driving experience is typical Honda; you feel connected to the car, the road, with just enough isolation to keep things comfortable and reasonably quiet.. We've done one road trip, about ninety miles each way same day, and the car was perfectly adequate. As per Edmunds review, the powertrain frequently is called into question for being just..........OK. I honestly have no issues with it. The engine is no torque monster, but it winds out nicely and smoothly. Adequate power is available when you need it. I thought the 5 speed auto might be less than ideal; while I would happily accept another gear or two, the trans is smooth, responsive, and well matched to the engine. The TSX Wagon often gets dinged for not being as powerful, or exciting, as competitors from, Audi, BMW, etc. What is left unsaid is that those vehicles sticker for $10 - $20,000 more. I wouldn't buy either one of those with 75,XXX miles. Things are about to get expensive. The cost of ownership of the TSX will be far lower over time. It will look better and better by comparison as the cars add years and miles. Biggest (pleasant) surprise so far has been fuel economy. Running 62-68mph most of the time, cruise control engaged, our road trip produced a readout of 36.7 mpg. Running errands around town is typically 27-28 mpg. These trip computers are often 1 - 2mpg optimistic; even so, these numbers are very good. Better than expected. Especially with Lets Go Brandon in charge of gas prices.. If you can find one, this is a very useful,, comfortable, easy to drive car. Heartily recommended.
