I recently traded in a 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe for a 2004 Acura TL NAVI. As with any car, you could point out items that need improvement, but this TL is, perhaps, the best car I've ever owned in terms of balancing ride comfort, build quality, performance, and reliability.

This car has been the most fun of any I've ever owned. Navigation solid TEN. Power a solid TEN. Stereo system a TEN. Exhaust sound a solid TEN. A head turner solid TEN. Still getting compliments and looks 6 months after purchased.

Bot TL instead of 330i. Saved money and got more features. TL's interior looks and feels quality vs the stark 330i interior. Camel leather matches great w/ black exterior. 6sp is butter- smooth. Severe flaw is torque steer, which in conjunction with vague clutch action, makes it mighty tough to launch smoothly. Net/net, great value package, but I already own MDX and Accord for utility and value and TL was the wrong choice for fun-driving in my time away from shuttling kids to soccer.

I've had a terrible experience with this car and quality of build. The car has paint shrinkage in the base coat causing sand marks to appear in the finish. The car bumper cover is also peeling on the sides were mounted to the fender because of excess stress. In addition, the car has many rattles and idles rough. This car cannot compare to a 3 series BMW or Lexus ES330. Don't make the mistake and purchase this bug infested car. Their reps even admit to the rattles and the dealer admitted the paint peeling issue on the bumper covers. What a car!!!!!

After five plus years and over 100,000 miles I can say that this is an excellent vehicle for almost anybody. I would not recommend it to any elderly or heavy set people since getting in and out may be difficult due to the low seat position and spring loaded front doors that tend to close back on you. Fun to drive, very good brakes, front drive is fine for 99% of driving needs. I average 27 mpg with about 2/3 highway 1/3 city driving. I find the voice command menu to be a gimmick, but I use the blue tooth phone all the time. Other than an annoying squeak from the glove box periodically, the car is still quiet and very reliable. Too bad Acura screwed up the exterior redesign for 2009.
