This car provides true driving pleasure with an element of fun and sportiness. The blue tooth enabled phone system and the XM radio are state of the art compliments to an already classy auto. Gets admiring looks while on the road, ( and the jealous glances from the neighbors are noted also).

I just purchased a new Acura TL with the navigation and XM satellite radio system yesterday (October 2003). Try as I might, I couldn't get any discount at all. I paid full list price plus $100 for the mud flaps. I live in California, and tried several dealers, they were all asking full list price. I was going to wait to see if the prices would go down, but I decided to bite the bullet and get the green metallic one left on the lot. It's a very nice car. Overall, I am very happy with the car. It's a bit larger than I thought it was.

This is one of the nicest <A TITLE="Click for more information about car" STYLE="text-decoration: none; border-bottom: medium solid green;" HREF="http://search.targetwords.com/u.s earch? x=5977|1||||cars|AA1VDw">car</A>s I have ever owned. I currently have a lexus GS 300 and like this car much better. I love the voice activation, and the bluetooth phone technology. The looks of the car get me more compliments than any other car I have owned. Great Improvement from the old TL which I traded in for the new one.

All I can say is this car is absolutely amazing. If you consider yourself a "driver" then you have to get the 6 speed. It adds to the overall driving experience.

The 2004 Acura TL is loaded with great standard features that other vehicles only provide as options for a lot more money. The surround sound stereo with XM satellite radio is the best sounding system you can get in a car-- fantastic!!! The interior is very functional--I especially like the large numbers and easy to use controls. Has lots of room in both front and rear. Looking forward to getting a bluetooth phone to use with Handsfree Link. Believe me, I looked and drove several cars and the 2004 Acura TL is definitely the BEST car for the money and fun driving factor.

So far, 835 miles of pure bliss. As a long time Honda fan (3 Civics, 1 Accord, 2 Odyssey's, 1 Legend Coupe), I say this new TL is their premier product. Ride is great compromise between luxury and sports car. Quiet and smooth with great road feel. Fabulously fused accellerator and transmission. Way better than the ES330 and the I35. Awsome sound system. Big back seat... plenty of headroom.

I searched for 1 yr before purchasing this car. Started with the germans, looked into the japanese, perused the Sweeds. I got down to 4 finalists. Saab 93 Aero, Acura TL, BMW 330i, and Infiniti G35. I hate the G35 seats horrible bolsters, and what's up with the switches on the inside,the tranny was too gruff. The 330 was great as expected but 3k more + everybody has one here in LA. The worst thing about the 330 was the sensor under the rearview obtrusive and ugly. Saab or Acura... 6sp, good engines and euro feeling... When you consider the Saab is 2k more than Acura before any options it seemed like a no Brainer... It was the Acura TL 6sp for me. Best Bang for the Buck...

This car is unbelievable. Incredible handling, sound system, PERFORMANCE. I keep reading that the BMW 5's or 3's handle better. They may - at 120 mph - but who is going to drive that fast ? It's my wifes car (thank god) because I could get into serious trouble with this car. We got the 6 speed - Blue/ camel. Looks great, goes better.

I have had my car for about a month and have loved everything about it except one thing, the blind spot. The Blind spot on both sides is enough to drive you crazy. If you are sitting in traffic you can watch cars disapear into it.

I bought a used 2004 TL automatic with approx. 75K miles on it, have put another 4K miles on it, and I couldn't be happier!!! It drives beautifully, the interior material is top notch, it has all the gadgets you could want (especially for being a 2004..way to go Acura for making all those amazing features standard on all base models!), and the exterior still turns heads. I put a lot of review into my purchase, especially from this website so I thought it was fitting I put some back in. The car does slip a little bit more than my last car in snowy conditions but i think that's mainly due to the torque.

I have only had the TL for one week but it is everything the reviews say it is. The fit and finish is excellent inside and out. It had no defects or problems. I had an Audi A4. This car is a much better value and reliablity should be much better.

This vehicle continues to exceed my expectations. The acceleration is remarkable and requires your full attention when you are behind the wheel. The highway cruising experience, particularly on good roads is outstanding. Interior quality is a major feature. Stereo system, hands-free link. Six speed transmission.

I've had my TL for two weeks. It is comfortable to ride in and drive. the acceleration is impressive. I tried accelerating without the bu## saver switch (the VSA) once and have kept it engaged since. the torque steer was scary!!

Have been looking at the TL since it showed up on the dealers lot last fall. Have looked at the G35 and the Lexus 330. Just purchased this month, it well worth the wait. Out shine both Infiniti and Lexus.

This car is awesome ! I had the Mits Galant for 3 months, and was bored to tears with it. I sold it and RAN to the Acura dealership for the TL. Smooth ride, powerful engine and top notch materials. My friend bought a BWM 5 series a few weeks ago, and my TL is a much better value. Can't say enough good things about it !

This car has all the extras that get you excited about a car. The downside is that the vehicle while powered well does not give you a feel you would want from a sport sedan. The understeer is very noticeable and quite frustrating. If you are looking for a comparable car in the 35K range buy the G35. I made a mistake because I like to drive.

CAR WAS BOUGHT IN FLORIDA, DROVE BACK TO WISCONSIN THROUGH ICE & SNOW,DID'NT PUSH TO THE LIMITS YET, ONLY HAVE HAD IT FOR 1 WEEK, 1700 MILES. PRVOUSLY HAD A 1999 3.2 TL. WIFE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT , WOUNDN'T LET MY DRIVE IT MUCH, I PUT ON LOTS OF MILES ON MY CARS. OUR 24 YEAR OLD SON NOW LOVES IT. HE WANTS TO BUY THE 2004 TL WHEN SHE WANTS TO SELL. The TL offers everything you could ask for in a luxury car that garners a sporty look and feel as well as the gusto to get you out of trouble if ever need be. It's amazing the eyes that you command on the road as onlookers blink because their eyes can't catch up.

This is the most fun i've had in driving a car in years. I would say this car beats my previous lexus sc400 by a huge margin. I was very happy with my Lexus until this Acura came around. I love the style and the drive is far superior

I have german cars-Two (BMW 330 and Audi TT). Alot of german car lovers have an emtional attachment to their cars but if you take the emotion out of it you will soon realize that you are driving one the best cars for the money and that includes performance, style, luxury and driving excitment.

For the short time we have owned this vehicle it has lived up to all reviews. The ride is tight but not rough. The steer is tight and accurate. The sounds system is something from the future with DVD/CD surround sound as a standard feature. The three month free XM radio isn't bad either.

I have now had the 2004 TL (Blue/Quartz) for a month and a half and have gotten many compliments on the styling. Having upgraded from a Honda Civic, this was quite a change. The interior materials look good and all the included options are incredible. I have to say that I was beginning to hat e to drive, but now in the TL I take the long way home. Buying experience was the best I've ever had using the Dealer quote option here on Edmunds.

I looked at the 530, the G35 and the C230 Kompressor... the new TL beats them all hands down. So much more car for the money, there is simply no comparison.

Bought the car in october. Paid less than msrp. wife was swayed by the car's exterior, dash layout, amount of shoulder space, sound system and materials used. Car is quiet at low speeds but noisy at high speeds and on less than perfect roads. automatic torque transfer came in handy on icy road recently, drive-by-wire accelerator seems to have two distinct modes - not enough power at up to a certain point and, suddenly, lots after it.

After owner several other vehicles and test driving Audi, BMW, Lexus, Infiniti, I fell in love with many of the practical features that the TL has to offer. The car is perfect for short and long-haul commutes. Gas mileage could be a little better, I get 21-22 MPG city and 30-31 on the hwy @ 78 MPH. The handling is excellent. The beverage holders could be a little deeper with an optional spacer if you wanted it. A can of soda will fit, but you cannot use the over in the center column. The trunk space is plenty for a long trip with luggage and the rear seats have enough leg room for any discerning passenger.

I have had my car since 2006 and have kept it under maintenance. It has treated me well for this period of time with occasional issues here and there. With 168,000 miles my transmission went and Motor mounts had to be replaced. Transmission was $5200 at the dealer. I opted to have it rebuilt elsewhere for $3300. I have also replaced the Motor Mounts. I guess certain things are to be expected but there were obvious issues with 2002-2003 and 2004's that were built earlier. I still believe these cars are reliable but some of these issues may be things that can be eventual problems with this model year. I also seem to be having some issues with the hands free freezing and dropping off.

I have about 10000 miles on my TL already and it has been one of the most exciting experiences that I ever had. Great performance and reliability - I never experienced any problems with the car. Front-wheel drive is still a disadvantage for the car - needs to change in future releases. I have the 6 speed MT and this car is very fast - no matter what they're going to tell you how great other German rivals are, I have tested the speed of the TL against some of them already and I left the test with a smile.

What a tremendous vehicle, and the most impressive part of it is the value. A luxury interior, with great power and performance. Sound system is groundbreaking for cars. Definitely comparible to a 6cyl 5 Series (maybe slightly smaller?), but almost 20Gs less. Highest recommendations . . . although there is one thing i cannot figure out . . . no compass?

I purchased this car on the release date and have been extremely happy. It is beautiful with lines that draw alot of attention (especially TL drivers) It handles great and has so much technology and options you have study so you dont miss them. The surround sound is fantastic and the voice commands with the bluetooth make it very functional. I am very glad i got this car as I looked at BMW, Mercedes, Infiniti, Lexus, and several other cars and I believe it is by far the best

I had researched all the cars in the TLs price range, on the Internet, reviews, test drives, and so on. Frankly I had looked at every car except the TL, and had decided to just go and see what Acura had. At the time I did not know that this new 2004 TL existed. Once I saw the car I fell in love with it. It looked like something that James Bond would drive. The styling, I mean it looked classy. Then has I test-drove the car, the power and acceleration was apparent. I had just driven the Lexus 300si, and that car was gut-less, no power. Plus the interior of the TL especially at night is beautiful. I love this car.

I chose the TL over the Audi A4, Infiniti G35 and Volvo S60. The TL,imho, had the best interior layout and build and the abundance of standard features outfoxes the competitors I mentioned. There are however, two considerations that you should take into account - info which didn't come apparent until after I purchased. A. The sports seats look great but their quality is suspect - crease and butt marks (leather wasn't pulled taut and secured enough) appear only after 200- 300 miles of driving. Very disappointing to have to face this problem on a 30K+ car. B. The Bridgestone EL-42 tires are absolute terrors in snow or wet conditions.

After 12,000 miles, I still love driving it every day! The handling and power are awesome. Friends rave about the interior and the stereo. I haven't had the quality issues others have complained of. After reading the Edmunds forums, I believe while there are some quality issues, the majority of TLs are fine. I'm getting 25 - 26 MPG in mixed driving (mostly highway).

Beautiful car, silky smooth eng/trans direct competition for BMW 540. Major disappointment: Acura sticker reads 17- 23 city 23-28 mpg prem gas.Appears to be real fraud to me.Decived this buyer. Truth 500 miles of which 300 city 14 mpg and 200 highway 16 mpg. Looking to join class action lawsuit and compensation from Acura/Honda as car will cost several thousand more to operate over 4yrs than represented and a big reason I bought TL instead of G35 or ES330.

TRADED IN A 2001BMW 525.THE TL IS MORE RELIABLE BETTER EQUIPED AND A MUCH BETTER VALUE.I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE 525 EXCEPT THE USUAL BULB FAILURE.FIT AND FINISH OF THE TL IS SECOND TO NONE.I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY IT IS NOT SELLING SO WELL.EVERY DEALER I HAD GONE TO HAD LARGE INVENTORY.IS IT THE COLD WEATHER IN N.Y.?

Before purchasing my new Acura TL i drove the audi A4 and the Infiniti G35. Both the Audi and Infinity were great cars, but if you want the most for your money the TL is the way to go. The TL performs as well if not better than both the Audi and the Infiniti, and there are few things that you can upgrade because everything comes stock on the TL. If you purchase a new TL, I promise you won't regret it!

I deliberately made the TL the last of the 6 cars I tested out (G35, ES330, Passat, Accord, Camry), and I was sold after a half mile. I'm a big guy, and I was worried about room - no problem. I found the seats very comfortable (haven't checked out the rear seats, but unless the people back there are helping with the payments, I'm not concerned!) Love the stereo, and never thought I'd care for XM...it's great for those with diverse musical tastes. So far, a great ride!

Spent the summer assessing the Audi A4, Lexus ES300, Infiniti G35 and Volvo S60. Decided to wait for the Acura TL, to be sure I would end up with a car that excited me(sportiness), and gave me a luxury feel. After driving the Acura, the decision was made. Cars I looked are all great vehicles; A4 is easily the most fun to drive, the Lexus is the most luxurious and possibly best built, G35 covered ground in both my critical criteria, but had a few too many quirky things, S60 fell short both on the sport and the luxury sides. Time will tell whether this was the correct decision.

Before buying this car, I test drove the BMW 330, Infiniti G35, Mazda RX8, Lexus IS300. I heard about it last minute from friends and the Internet. After driving the car, I knew this was the car for me. The base equipment is hard to beat for the price and the performance is outstanding

Great car, was looking at accord, found 6 sp, but only avail in coupe, then, went to Acura and test from 6 sp TL sedan, and never looked back.... Dream Ride!
