My wife and I both love this car! It is eye-catching, has great handling and acceleration, and a phenomenal DVD- audio/nagigation system. We were looking for a classy, reliable, and fun to drive car...with all the standard options the price is hard to beat!

I purchased this vehicle over 3 years ago and have put over 60,000 trouble free miles on it. I had minimal problems and the vehicle is fun to drive. I plan on keeping the car for several more years. The color combination with pearl outside still turns heads! It has been by far the best vehicle I have ever owned!

Does not have the sport of my last acura, integra GSR. First to second shift is notchy, does not spool up as quickly. Stereo is great, but other than that can't justify its 34k price tag.

I had a 96 BMW 328i, then a 2002 Acura TL. I liked the Acura better than the BMW for a lot of reasons. So then I decided to buy another TL and this one is far superior to the first one. I love the new styling, the blue interior lights, it handles the road great, the stereo is unbelievable and is just plain fun to drive. I used to live in a flat area of the country, but I now live in a very hilly area and the 270 hp engine makes the hills a breeze. I will keep buying this car as long as they make it.

Acura has done a great job of improving on an excellent value. This car rocks. Great audio system. Navi is a bit more complicated than a few years ago and the voice command system leaves something to be desired (understanding commands). But the car handles great and is faster than ever. Feels much sportier than previous models. The lines are classy and the price isn't much more than before.

We just bought the new tl 2 months ago and this car definetly made us smile. Body styling was awesome especially w/ underbody kit..you gotto see it to appreciate it. The interior? hard to believe it's made by honda..excellent!! sound system's superb espcially when using a DVD-A. Everything's soft. I use to drive Tl Type S Everything is totaly diff. except the power. If you are planning to buy BMW 3 s or Lexus, Try the TL first!

The 2004 TL is my third Acura, and I can say that it's the best model yet. What drew me to the new TL was the total redesign. The previous TLs always looked plain and conservative. Acura created a handsome, sporty sedan that can now compete with the BMW in overall looks and features. The car has much more power, a smoother ride, and handles curves much better than the previous CL and TL models. The interior of the car is very modern and contemporary. I purchased the Abyss Blue exterior with camel interior. The blue glow of the dashboard really complements the exterior color of the car nicely.

I purchased this car in late October and it continues to impress. I had owned a 2001 BMW 330 convertibile before this car and although the TL is a front wheel drive and does not handle as well as the BMW, it outshines the 330 in EVERY other aspect. The interior is superb and very well designed. The navigation system is first rate (I am frequently in San Francisco and it is incredibly accurate) Bluetooth feature for cell is great! Nothing even comes close for the money, nothing.

My 4th Acura so far, and will keep buying them; I've had no problems with this car at all, currently at 76,000 miles. Minor issue was clutch master cylinder wasn't smooth after a while. Still worked fine, but dealer replaced under ext warranty at 72,000 miles. Brembo brakes are awesome on the 6- speed, only issue is brake dust, but not too bad. Heated seats are great, could use cooled seats. Amazing reliability - haven't had to replace HIDs yet, or any other light bulb. Handling is awesome, nav system is perfect, bluetooth works great. DVD audio system awesome, but not enough dvda discs out there. Lacks MP3 capability and iPod/aux jacks. Best car purchase ever!

I was totally impressed with Acura's new TL before I bought one and my feelings for it get stronger each day. It has everything you'd want in a mid- range luxury sedan...and more! For a price of $34,650 (w/navi), you're actually getting a car more similar to the BMW 530i than the 330i, but for a LOT less. Don't just take my word for it, go test drive one ASAP!

After reading a couple poor reviews I had to give my input. This is the best car I have ever owned. It is super quiet, fast, handles like it is glued to the road. The best sound system I have heard in a car. The quality is flawless. After reading a couple reviews I have to wonder if they are talking about the same car! When I was first driving it home all I could think of is as Wayne would say. "I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!" Oh, and by the way I get 32 MPG on the highway, is that poor fuel economy?

First time to own an Acura (3300 miles). Hugs turns and corners. Brakes grab securely. Steering wheel controls seem well placed. Navigation finds even obscure locations and remembers them. Dash lights are attractive, and the automated maintenance/mileage/data center relieve alot of worry. I look forward to going places because the driving experience is rewarding. I've recommended an Acura to my wife.

After 137 miles the " transmission solinoid " needed replacement. The dealer was less then helpful. It was towed in on a Friday morning and not brought into the shop until Monday after 11 am when I went in to complain about the service and the fact that no one had even had the courtesy to inform me of the progress of car repair. That bieng said the rest of my experience has been sheer enjoyment.

4 years and I am still pleased with the car. the "bumps along the way" - went through a set of Avon tires in 12K miles. Complained to the dealer and the parts manager was able to diagnose that there was a suspension recall (the bump stops) that may cause the excess tire wear. They comped two tires, did the recall and so far so good. We'll see in about 20K miles!

It's been two months and I love this car. I'm clearly not a true autosnob since the only difference between this car and the RWD vehicles I looked at (Infiniti G35, Cadillac CTS, BMW) is that this car is simply better. It's comfortable, drives well and has the best stereo anywhere. I love XM radio and all cars should have a bluetooth connection for cell phones. My only gripe is that the headlights should be fully automatic.

For one year I drove my Honda Accord, from 2003, then with the announcement of the 2004 TL, i sold mine. But as soon as i went into the car i realized it had some very similar attributes to the Accord. Same styling, same navi, same leather options and all. When i went for a test drive i found it extremly uncomfortable. I could feel every bump in the road and more. But i was very happy that when i put my foot on the accelerator it zoomed off with the roar i loved. Over all its a great car but i wouldn't recommend selling your accord to get another accord, i mean TL.

I just purchased a new Acura TL with the navigation and XM satellite radio system yesterday (October 2003). Try as I might, I couldn't get any discount at all. I paid full list price plus $100 for the mud flaps. I live in California, and tried several dealers, they were all asking full list price. I was going to wait to see if the prices would go down, but I decided to bite the bullet and get the green metallic one left on the lot. It's a very nice car. Overall, I am very happy with the car. It's a bit larger than I thought it was.

The 2004 Acura TL is loaded with great standard features that other vehicles only provide as options for a lot more money. The surround sound stereo with XM satellite radio is the best sounding system you can get in a car-- fantastic!!! The interior is very functional--I especially like the large numbers and easy to use controls. Has lots of room in both front and rear. Looking forward to getting a bluetooth phone to use with Handsfree Link. Believe me, I looked and drove several cars and the 2004 Acura TL is definitely the BEST car for the money and fun driving factor.

I bought a used 2004 TL automatic with approx. 75K miles on it, have put another 4K miles on it, and I couldn't be happier!!! It drives beautifully, the interior material is top notch, it has all the gadgets you could want (especially for being a 2004..way to go Acura for making all those amazing features standard on all base models!), and the exterior still turns heads. I put a lot of review into my purchase, especially from this website so I thought it was fitting I put some back in. The car does slip a little bit more than my last car in snowy conditions but i think that's mainly due to the torque.

This car has all the extras that get you excited about a car. The downside is that the vehicle while powered well does not give you a feel you would want from a sport sedan. The understeer is very noticeable and quite frustrating. If you are looking for a comparable car in the 35K range buy the G35. I made a mistake because I like to drive.

Bought the car in october. Paid less than msrp. wife was swayed by the car's exterior, dash layout, amount of shoulder space, sound system and materials used. Car is quiet at low speeds but noisy at high speeds and on less than perfect roads. automatic torque transfer came in handy on icy road recently, drive-by-wire accelerator seems to have two distinct modes - not enough power at up to a certain point and, suddenly, lots after it.

I chose the TL over the Audi A4, Infiniti G35 and Volvo S60. The TL,imho, had the best interior layout and build and the abundance of standard features outfoxes the competitors I mentioned. There are however, two considerations that you should take into account - info which didn't come apparent until after I purchased. A. The sports seats look great but their quality is suspect - crease and butt marks (leather wasn't pulled taut and secured enough) appear only after 200- 300 miles of driving. Very disappointing to have to face this problem on a 30K+ car. B. The Bridgestone EL-42 tires are absolute terrors in snow or wet conditions.

Lexus, BMer, Mercedes?? Nope this car has them all beat for what you get for the price. A week after I bought my car I had to drive it 1000 miles for my job and it made the whole trip a dream. I told the Nav system where I wanted to go and it got me there and with the XM Radio blasting on the comedy channel and others it made the drive sweet. Take any of the other luxury cars and put all the features that come standard on the TL into them and you end up paying a heck of a lot more than what I had to pay for my TL. You just can't go wrong with this

Incredible car for the price. We drove the BMW 3 series, Infiniti G35, etc. The TL beat each and every competitor for hp, build quality, interior materials, interior room, features, and handling. The only thing Acura lacks at this time is the brand image, but with the TL, new TSX, and recent MDX, Acura may be a full fledged competitor in the luxury car line now!

After five plus years and over 100,000 miles I can say that this is an excellent vehicle for almost anybody. I would not recommend it to any elderly or heavy set people since getting in and out may be difficult due to the low seat position and spring loaded front doors that tend to close back on you. Fun to drive, very good brakes, front drive is fine for 99% of driving needs. I average 27 mpg with about 2/3 highway 1/3 city driving. I find the voice command menu to be a gimmick, but I use the blue tooth phone all the time. Other than an annoying squeak from the glove box periodically, the car is still quiet and very reliable. Too bad Acura screwed up the exterior redesign for 2009.

'04 Acura TL is third TL owned and thus far, the best. Performance is smoother, quieter and more refined than 2002 TL- S, which was great car. It is hard to imagine a better car--performance, value and dependability--in this class.

FANTASTIC SPORT SEDAN WITH LOTS OF LEG AND HEADROOM AND COMFORT . 04 BODY STYLE IS GREAT. SEATS ARE EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE AND CONTOURED. I FEEL AT HOME THE MOMENT THAT I GET IN.THE DASH AND BLUE BACKLIGHT INSTUMENTATION PANEL IS A "WOW" ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. THE SOUND SYSTEM AND NAVIGATION SYSTEM ARE SUPERB. THE NAV SCREEN IS 8 INCHES AND ITS EASY TO USE AFTER 1 HOUR OF PRACTICE. THE RIDE IS SMOOTH AND QUIET AT 80 MPH ON THE FREEWAY. HANDELING IS PINPOINT AND THE EXTRA BRIGHT XENON HEADLIGHTS MAKE NIGHT VISION EASY. PLEASANT SURPRISES WERE THE AMOUNT OF POWER THAT THE 270 HORSEPOWER ENGINE PRODUCES AND HOW EFFORTLESS THE BRAKING SYSTEM IS.

This is a great car with a good blend of fun and practical. I just can't believe that the TSX beats it in these Consumer ratings! My 2004 TL beats every TSX I've been in (including 2008) in every way except one: the exterior styling on the TSX is way better. The TL needs cosmetic surgery, but it's a fantastic ride.
