Used 2003 Acura TL Sedan Consumer Reviews
Thought I was downsizing!
I recently traded my 1999 Acura 3.5 RL for a 2003 3.2TL. Since I'm retiring shortly, thought I'd get something more economical. I actually thought I'd be sacrificing comfort and quality by getting the TL....was I ever wrong!! I love the TL as much as, if not more than, the RL...It's fun to drive, has a lot of power, and almost every amenity that my RL had. I made the right choice and I'm very happy with the car. I'll always own an Acura. You can't beat the price and the service is unbelievable.......
transmission failure
Bought the 2003 TL brand new. Comfortable and smooth ride. Interior features adequate and functioned well since driven off the lot. The transmission failed at 81,000 miles. We never got a notice that the transmission was under recall but the dealer still required me to pay $1,000 out of the $3,000 cost for a new transmission. Previous to the transmission failure they try a "fix," that did not work. Some kind of deal.

EXCELLENT MACHINE
IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE WORKMANSHIP ON THIS VEHICLE. VERY RESPONSIVE, STEP ON THE GAS AND YOU'RE GONE. HANDLES VERY NICE AND SMOOTH. EXCELLENT CAR FOR THE PRICE, EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS STANDARD.
Not bad, not great, just okay
I purchased this Acura used after totaling a 2000 BMW 528iT with Sports and Premium packages. It was a good purchase but not of the same luxury features of the BMW so I have never completely bought into an Acura being an upscale car. The fact that mine has Honda stamped on the windows makes it difficult to consider it anything more than an expensive Accord. The sheet metal is thin and easily dents. I leaned against the car and left dents in the right rear panel. A small hail storm left minor dings all over the hood, roof and rear. It is not the quality that I expected from an Acura. I do enjoy the car but am constantly looking for my next car.
Great business car!
I've only had my new Acura 3.2TL for a month but, very pleased so far! The standard amenities include everything but a navigation system! The vehicle is very comfortable, handles well, has good pep and feels solid. I find it far superior to the Toyota Camry V6 XLE I've been driving. For the price, this is an excellent choice. The lease price was the best in its class!
