Used 2020 Acura RDX Consumer Reviews
My Last Acura
Acura/Honda has been going down hill since 2015. Been buying Acura's for 30 years, the problems started with a defective 2015 TLX which was replaced with a 2016 RDX which almost caught fire and that was replaced with a 2020 RDX which only has 9000 kilometers on it and is already having issues with all the throttle and other electronic issues. If they took all the tech out of it, then it would be a great vehicle. If I wasn't locked into a 4 year lease. I would get rid of it. My second car is a 2006 CRV with 250,000 kilometers, have never done anything but routine maintenance. Next car will be a Lexus.

No Longer A Ridgeline Owner
1st Acura purchased last fall, very satisfied, Most torque and performance out of a tiny 4 cyl I ever imagined. Rides and drives great, mpg a constant 25 mpg, gear shifting is very quick and I believe it shifts 8 or maybe 9 times. Love the push button tranny..

Little Brand Lost - Want to sell it after 2 mos.
Bought a '20 tech in Jan '20 it and sadly it's a really bad car. We've had the car 60 days and I'm on my 5th trip back to the dealer and have a follow up to repair the issues from today. I've never had this happen before. We're Honda/Acura loyalists, this being our 9th Honda/Acura vehicle and it's an embarrassment to the brand. Within the first month we had to have lower control arm bushings replaced, and the brakes squeal, lift gate is misaligned and damaged the plastic tailgate trim/spoiler that the regional Acura manager offered to sand-down versus replace, and it has the worst leather seat upholstery stitching and assembly I've ever seen. It's also a gas HOG, averaging 17.5 in mixed driving and only 20 or 21 on 500 mile highway drive. All the complexity of a four cylinder turbo w/10 speed transmission to get what MPG? Huh? There are much better choices. Honda isn't the manufacturer it once was, evidenced by the awful reliability rating it now received. Save yourself from the mistake we made, look at something else and don't be shy of the American brands. Have had almost 10 Honda/Acura products and just came off of two GM SUV's that were stellar and trouble free. UPDATE at 6 Mos: The RDX is a dressed up CRV, don't believe the "it's different" nonsense. It feels cheap and unsubstantial; noisy impacts with road imperfections, uncomfortable seats all around and it handles like crap with the steering going from completely numb to overloaded in turns with poor progression. The engine and drive drain, always the best part of Honda/Acura products is a massive and inexcusable disappointment. The BEST this car has averaged is 19.5MPG in warm weather on the highway mostly. In the winter it was averaging 17. We have a pick-up truck that gets better MPG and doesn't hesitate on acceleration while it figures out which gear and what program to proceed with. The infotainment and electronics are also an abomination. The infotainment system takes a prolonged time to boot up, is completely counter-intuitive no matter what story they're pitching for the interface - it stinks. The "safety" systems are laughably over sensitive to the point they are often incorrect and frustrating. Multiple functions like door lock/unlock and lift gate controls go dead until the car is "rebooted". What a joke in 2020. There's always a honeymoon period after buying a car when one is happy with their purchase. We literally despise this car. So sad we purchased versus leasing it. Take a pass, this is a horrible vehicle. So sorry we bought it.

Good looking and comfy SUV
Just traded in my BMW X3 2015 for an Acura 2020 RDX AWD A-Spec. The platinum white pearl with black interior looks sporty and handsome as well. Its performance is top-notch for a 2.0L turbo engine. The drive is smooth and it has a very quiet cabin compared with the old RDXs. So far, I like this car very much and hope it will serve me well for yrs to come.

Don’t Leave Home Without One
When your 72 years old and been driving since 16 and your first car was a Sedan with three speed on the column mechanical clutch and no power steering sliding behind the wheel of sleek new 2020 RDX SH-AWD Technology Package you can’t believe how much the car has come in such a short period of time. I had a 2018 RDX which was a great car but the redesigned 2020 is the nicest one yet. The infotainment system will take some use to but the fit and finish is on the money. Three driving modes are a lot of fun. Handling is nice and tight my first electric power steering. It lives up to all the reviews pros and cons that Edmunds review states but drive it and you want to take it home right then and there. I got the Platinum White Pearl with Parchment interior and it’s one classy luxury SUV. Taking it for its first road trip soon and can’t wait to test out the driver assist cruise control.
