LOVE THIS VEHICLE
Coming from a 2016 TLX Tech package, I just love this vehicle. I went with the Tech package but would love the HUD but didn't want to pay an extra $5,000 for it. I live in Southern Ca so don't care about heated back seats and steering wheel, AWD, etc. First, the cons: 1) This vehicle is a little more noisy than our TLX but that is not a deal breaker. 2) No naming the 30 FAVORITES in the Nav address book. Acura, really? The work around is to use the contacts in your smart phone. No Android Auto yet but when it arrives, we may not even use it. Now the PROS: Wow, this puppy is quick and fast. Coming from a 6 cylinder, the 4 turbo is QUICK and FAST! The Nav system, other than the con listed above, is fantastic......really. Now for the touch pad some people are complaining about. Folks, get over it. The wifey and I are 75 years old and we got the touch pad down pat in about 3 days. It works GREAT! The cockpit is really nice luxury. Lots of cargo space. Sound system fantastic. Who said the vehicle was supposed to be fun to drive; it is a SUV (or CUV)...........BUT, guess what? It "is" fun to drive. Just put it in either SPORT or SPORT + for those curvy roads and enjoy. Back to COMFORT mode for regular around-town driving. Also, this vehicle is SMOOTH-riding even though a little more noisy as mentioned above. Very smooth. I've had the vehicle for a little over 2 weeks now so take that into consideration but wow, so far, this is the best vehicle I've ever owned.

Squeaky shocks over bumps
About a week after i got this car, i went over a speed bump and heard a squeak on the driver's side. Sounded like an old SUV that needed new shocks. I thought it was not a big deal and needed the car to break in. but its been two months and i was able to catch it on video. The dealer now uses my video as an example since more of the same car have com in with the exact same problem. I love the car and was very excited for it. Its in the shop as we speak, but a 2 month old car should 0 issues with it. Hopefully this gets fixed because this will be the third time going back and it's becoming annoying.

A big miss by the Acura engineers
The '19 RDX was the sixth Acura that I have owned/leased and by far the worst. the engine is way under powered. The infotainment system is a mess: it loses connectivity, freezes when switching between bluetooth phone and sat radio, takes 30+ seconds to boot up, and more. Acura makes some great vehicles, this isn't one of them.

Very Good!
I test drove the new RDX today. It had the AWD/Tech package (only because they didn't have the ASpec or Advance in AWD available. Pros: SEATS! The seats are super confortable (seating position and visibility are great). Most materials are top quality. It drives nice and smooth and the 2.0 Turbo really moves the car. The touchpad is easy to use; I don't understand experts who ding it for its complexity. Cons: wheel choices not great, some materials feel not as upscale (e.g. the steering wheel and other panels not covered with leather) The a/c display seems outdated. Over all, a very good contender that has its price as one of its strong points against the competition. Acura reliability in my experience will draw customers that don't trust BMW's after initial warranty. I'm still test driving the BMW X3 and the Audi Q5.

Nav and infotainment center not use friendly
Sharp looking car; got the A-Spec package in white with a red leather interior. With that said, now the shortfalls: the compass in the center display console - between the speedometer and tachometer - is inaccurate/backward. While N points up and S points down, W points to the RIGHT and E points to the LEFT. Unless this is the bizzaro world from Seinfeld, I'd say that's reversed. C'mon Acura! This is basic stuff. You canNOT edit a saved favorite place on the Nav system. So instead of choosing "Joe's Crab House" from your saved favorites list, or "Emergency Vet," for example, you have to recall its location, like "41255 SE 10th Ave in North Lauderdale" because it only saves it by address. Next, no place for pocket change. Annoying. The touchpad takes some getting used to but it's not bad. No forward- or top-down facing camera shot to see if you're straight and between the lines when you park. The scroll wheel pushed side-to-side toggles from one favorite music station to another, SOMETIMES. Oher times I get an error message. Not much to look at in the center console except the inaccurate compass or the Trip Computer. Yawn. Why not add digital speed display, for example? Came out of a 2016 Nissan Maxima that did all these things right. Should have stayed with Nissan.
