Used 2018 Acura RDX Technology Package 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl 6A) Consumer Reviews
2018 RDX TECH PACKAGE
We bought the car for my wife’s daily driving and long trips. We compared the 2018 RDX with the tech package to a 2019 RDX with tech package, CRV, RAV4, and an Audi. While the 2018 doesn’t have all of the bells and whistles, i.e. Apple play. It had more than enough. The 6 cylinder normally aspirated engine with the 6 speed tranny are more than adequate. It’s quick and handles great. We especially like the the split screens. We have NAV and music choices going on separate screens and don’t find them distracting at all. Oh and did I mention it was about 10,000 + dollars cheaper than the Audi, BMW, or the 2019 RDX. All in all great value and great fun to drive.

Perl White AWD with Tech Package
For city use, the RDX drives & steers way better than I anticipated from a crossover. On the freeway, the RDX ride and seats are very comfortable. I especially notice how quiet the RDX is, even at higher speeds. We have driven Honda's / Acura's for over 30 years and are well-pleased with their consistent quality.

Last of its kind
When we had to unexpectedly replace our compact SUV earlier this year, we intentionally sought a certified pre-owned 2018 RDX. This is the last of its breed for the following reasons: 1. Engine. The naturally aspirated V6 engine delivers strong, linear power and sounds fantastic without the complexity and headaches of a turbocharger. And, since it has port injection, it will not suffer from the carbon build-up issues associated with direct injection. 2. Transmission. The tried-and-true six speed transmission is silky smooth while producing acceptable gas mileage. Although the tech features of the vehicle are somewhat dated, we can live with them in exchange for the bulletproof reliability stated above.

Fun to drive
the most important part of this car is the mirrors. They are large, and I do not believe there is a blind spot. I felt very comfortable changing lanes.

Great vehicle- not so good fuel economy
I purchased my 2018 RDX with technology package after a test drive. I was reluctant at first as I never considered myself an SUV guy, but the combination of power, comfort and style won me over. My last ride was a 2013 TSX, which I owned for five trouble free years. The only issue I have with the RDX is the gas mileage- I'm getting around 16-17 with local driving, and that’s with a light foot on the gas pedal. I didn't expect 25mpg city, but did expect better than what I'm getting now. I'm sure highway diving will achieve better results. Otherwise, the vehicle is amazing. smooth transmission, Strikes a good balance between being too wispy or too rough when confronting uneven roads. Very happy with my purchase. A very well made vehicle where the good far outweigh the subpar gas mileage.
