Better than my 2001
Trouble free, purchased it new in 91 and just can't give it up. Only serviced at dealer, current reading on odometer is 57,200. Nice quiet ride, smooth transmission and has just a joy to own. I purchased an Acura TL in 2001 and the Legend is a better car. The Acura service department where we purchased our cars were excellent.
had an '86 for 200,000 mi., wanted more
After 14 years of driving an '86 Legend, I was convinced of Acura quality (engine still ran perfectly). I shopped for 4 months and bought a '91 coupe w/ 32K mi. Looks, feels & drives like a new car. Many people assume it's a brand new car. Unbelieveable for a 12 year old car.
Who'd a thought?!
I bought this car as a replacement for my constantly breaking mark 7, which broke again for the 5th time in a year. Initially iconsidered it a glorified Honda, and I still kinda do, but it does drive impeccably, runs fantastic, and has never givien me any reason to have to repair it. I will do all scheduled maintainance, and should get over 200K miles out of it. And its 12 years old, with 67K on it now. The window regulator broke 2 days after I bought it, but thats it. It really does run and run.
Best Car I've ever Owned or even driven
My personal favorite. The Legend of the early nineties was the best car ever produced by Acura. It fully lives up to its name. I've put over 170 thousand miles on mine and I look forward to many more. This great looking sedan drives like a 2-door and shifts like a sports car with an engine to back it. If you want a luxury sports car, but need room for the kids, this is your car.
Great Car!
My friends had an Acura Legend, and I just had to see and ride in the vehicle to know that I liked it. I myself sell cars, and I preferred driving my 91'Legend over the several different cars that I sell. I have had no problems at all, and I have 256,000 miles on it. Can a Ford beat that??(NO) Performance on this car is outstanding! Sometimes I like to gun it here and there, especially when Mustangs are around. I have raced 2 Rustang GT's and Beat them both and did I mention that my family car has 256,000 miles on it with the automatic transmission? An 02' and a 98'. Its an all around Great car.
