2004 Toyota Matrix XR Fwd 4dr Wagon (1.8L 4cyl 5M)
I didn't think I could find a vehicle
with SUV space and economy car mileage
but the Matrix has both. It's fun to
drive, although a little slow to
accelerate. Passenger room is generous
and the seats fold down easily to fit
lots in the back. I'm glad I got the 5-
speed because my kids can't borrow it!
The two-way sunroof is wonderful - it
makes the interior seem even more
roomy. I love the design - I've been
told it looks like a space ship!
Visibility in the back corners is poor
because of the way the windows angle
up. I had a few close calls with cars
in my blind spot until I got used to
I really notice the lack of
acceleration on all but a slight hill.
Engine needs more power or something.
