2007 Honda Civic Sedan EX 4dr Sedan w/Navigation System (1.8L 4cyl 5A)
After purchasing this vehicle I drove it from the Calif central coast to Oregon and the Seattle Washington area and back to Calif. The car drove effortlessly thruought the trip giving me and average of 39 mpg in open road and city driving. The car was comfortable and has enought power to cruise at ease. I'm very satisfied with the overall performance of this car and would not hesitate in purchasing it again. The only problem is that there can be excessive road noise when driving on certain asphalt (worn/marbled) surfaces.

I definitely am satisfied with the performence of my Civic on wet, dry, and mountain roads. I was very disturbed by the lack of control I had of the vehicle on ice and snow. With front wheel drive, I expected better than what I got but at 10-15 mph the car would not run straight while other vehicles were passing me at twice my speed. I will not be taking this vehicle into snow country again. Road noise is a bit excessive and the transmission is suprisingly rough. Fuel economy is excellent. Handling on dry and even wet roads is exceptional, but it cannot hold its own on ice.
Digital speedometer, fuel economy, handling, cabin space.
Bring back the independent rear suspension to improve traction on all four wheels. Defroster needs to be revamped.

I think it's the best looking car out there. The ride is smooth and comfortable. It has enough get up and go for my needs. I'm disappointed that I've never gotten anywhere near 40 MPG. The door panels are prone to scratches. The driver's side window failed after about six months. Otherwise, no mechanical problems. Incredibly, the owner's manual has no information on the location of or procedure to change the "air cleaner element" (filter).
Outside styling speedometer location and display size CD playback is good security system (despite a few false alarms) wide range of adjustment of front seats cruise control (although I wish I had more opportunity to use it).
Side mirrors heated and foldable from inside the car, honest MPG listing, bluetooth, remote-operated trunk.

I've found this Civic 4-Dr surprisingly comfortable, easy handling and fun to drive. Its 5-sp manual/clutch combo is about as good as it gets; light, positive and smooth. It's engine is not noiseless, but is smooth and pleasant, with a good usable rpm range, from 1500 to 6700. The interior is well thought out, with storage everywhere. It is fitted with conveniences previously found in only more expensive cars. The navi and XM radio are a delight, and the carefully calculated mileage of 36.5 mpg for its 11000 mile life is extraordinary. Fit and finish are excellent. Doors shut lightly and solidly. I wouldn't trade it as a driver for anything I can think of...or I'd be driving that!
Digital speedo works well for me. Navi and audio displays are user friendly, work superbly. 5-sp manual/clutch are the only way to go to extract best mileage (forget the EPA) and performance.
Add Bluetooth capability. Improve quality of plastics used in dash. That's about it.
