2001 Honda Civic EX 2dr Coupe (1.7L 4cyl 5M)

Review

This has been a nice little car.
Performance is great. The EX goes 0-
60 in 8.5 seconds, which is excellent
for an economy car and is comparable
to much more powerful cars. Rather
harsh ride is an acceptable tradeoff
for great handling and not out of line
for an economy car. Funny thing I see
here is the transmission that so many
people complain about was built in
Japan.

Best Features

Resale, reliablity. We have had no mechanical problems in 29,000 miles. Drives great for an economy car, and gas milage has been consistantly good, over 35 mpg at 75 mph. Handles icy conditions great.

Worst Features

Questionable build quality and numerous squeaks and rattles are not what I expected in a Honda. I wonder if it will live up to Honda's reputation for reliabilty down the road. Dump the Firestones. More backwards seat travel so my 6'3" frame can be comfortable on long trips.
