2005 Ford F-150 2dr Regular Cab XL Rwd Styleside 8 ft. LB (4.2L 6cyl 5M)
It has the best ride of any previous Ford trucks. The frame is stiff enough to cancel out the pothole vibrations that usually shake the beds of most trucks. The V6 isn't fast, but it hauls well with the 8ft bed full of gravel. If you drive with the torque instead of revving up, it returns about 20 mpg. Dead reliable for over 30k miles now.
Super stiff frame and body. Excellent suspension (double A-arm front). Tight responsive steering. Huge interior with great leg room. The only broken part has been a fuel filler door damaged in a parking lot and replaced under warranty.
There is some understeer at the limit on tight back roads, and the v6 lacks the power to throttle oversteer. The engine is a little rough at idle sometimes, but it is a truck, I wouldn't expect a luxury car engine. If you purchase this vehicle be sure to get the limited slip differential.
