Rick Case Automotive Group Opens World's Largest Kia Dealership

SUNRISE, Florida — Rick Case Kia made history when it hosted its grand opening this month. The 260,000-square-foot dealership stands five stories high, making it the world's largest Kia dealership.

It's so large that it holds the dealership's entire inventory — 600 new and used cars — all inside in a climate-controlled environment.

"It rains every day in the summer because we're up against the Everglades, so our guests can remain out of the rain and the extreme heat, and they see the cars under the best LED lighting," co-owner Rick Case told Edmunds.

Case believes customers will appreciate that each level of the building sports a different model, from Souls to Rios.

The dealership was designed to look like an office building to blend in with the office park in which it is located.

"The city required us to do that because a previous administration eliminated the zoning for car dealerships," Case explained. "We like it because it sets us apart from the auto row across the street and 7,000 people who work in the office buildings surrounding us have to drive by our dealership and see what we have to offer."

Case, whose Rick Case Automotive Group also offers Acura, Audi, Hyundai, Volkswagen, Mazda, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Honda vehicles, took no chances when it came to stirring up foot traffic. He inked a deal with neighbor Sawgrass Mills, the largest outlet and value retail shopping mall in the state of Florida, to display his cars inside the mall.

"Millions of people will walk by them every year and then they may cross the street to enter our dealership," he said.

The dealership is giving a $25 pre-paid Visa gift card to those who take a test-drive of a new Kia in honor of the grand opening.

"We're all about customer service," Case said.
