I just test drove the XC90 Recharge. Pros: Comfortable, quiet, peppy, mileage, good headroom. Bad: Cell phone wireless charger did not work with my reasonably sized Speck case for my iPhone 12 Pro. [Note: I tested same feature out on Audi's Q8 - no issues.] I didn't like the location of the rearview mirror - mounted forward of the electronic box. There's a large hump in the middle seat of the 2nd row making it useless for anyone to sit there other than a very small child. The large center screen was glitchy - home-looking button didn not work on several screens that it should have according to the sales rep. All in all, I didn't fall in love with it. Will keep looking and maybe the 2022 model addresses these things.

My last two cars were well equipped. BMW X5s. Ventilated seats, heads up display, adaptive cruise control, etc. This car, XC90 T8, is the same price as a new X5 and comes with all that. But it is no where near the BMW. Set the cruise at 70 mph? Expect 67-72 mph. Change the speed up or down? 5 mph increments only. My Kuat bike rack doesn’t align with the holes in the factory hitch unless I use a 3/8” pin, which is too small for the hole. 5/8” is too big. Had to buy an extender. The wireless charging pad doesn’t work….display screen say “remove objects.” The HUD has very limited info. Most of what you need is between the speedometer and the ring on the right that displays fuel or tach depending on driving mode. I could go on. I will say it has a nice looking interior, has plenty of room and rides well. As I said, I’m glad I leased it. Only 32 months to go.

Has all luxury fetaures plus it is a HYBRID. Gets you the CARPOOL Sticker for 3 years

Very happy with my 2021 XC90 recharge. Very solid inside and out. And excellent tow machine. Already I have launched and pulled out of the water a pretty big pontoon boat, and hauled my snowmobile trailer with two machines on it in and out of the white mountains of New Hampshire. I have steep driveway I need to back up snowmobile trailer and the electric motor made it easier than my Chevy Silverado! All that electric torque right on back tires is game changer. When not towing I am averaging 32 mpg in and out of the mountains, highway, back roads on long trips. Solid interior, high grade leather seats, excellent handling and power right where you need it most is hard to beat combination. Update 2022: towed trailer with 2 snowmobiles all over Aroostock County Maine in snow storms last winter and XC90 handled it like a beast. Good snow tires get lots of the credit but have been very impressed with this car a few years in. Went to Depot last weekend and they loaded a palette of wood ceiling panels right in there from forklift. It was narrow palette 3’ but 7 feet long. About 550 lbs. handled it well. As much as I liked my Silverado, still not finding instances where the XC90 cannot do the job. Except a furniture move in the summer. Everything else the XC 90 does very well. Never mind great ride and handling and power for everyday driving.

Bought this car with 19k miles, drove it to southwest Florida from Washington DC and love it! Quiet, fuel efficient, roomy, comfortable and just overall very happy! Being a mild hybrid, getting but 20-30 miles from a full charge in “pure electric” mode, wish there were more range in this configuration. However, since most of our trips re less than 30 miles round trip it works just fine. Highly recommended and very happy to save big bucks by purchasing a slightly used version that is loaded with options. Love it!
