Used 2015 Volvo S60 T5 Drive-E 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 8A) Consumer Reviews
I never want a luxury vehicle again
I have a 2015 that I got used last year and just keep sinking money into it even though I take it in for its regular maintenance and oil changes. Keep in mind that if you own a Volvo, the clip in your gear shifter is almost guaranteed to break. Mine already did at 2 years old and I don't do anything different than I did with my Jeep Cherokee. Before owning my S60 all I ever wanted was a Cadillac, but now the last thing I want in the world is a luxury vehicle. Unless you have extra cash laying around don't buy a Volvo. Its all hype.
BELLS AND WHISTLES etc
Not easy at first and no book to look up "how to". Had to call or visit dealer to learn. I hv 19,500 miles, a lease (signed up for 10K miles/yr.

My first Volvo
Have loved every minute of this car. Sporty, style, fun to drive, great seats! Only real drawback was having to replace my tires at 20k miles, that was a first for me in a lease and I’ve leased several cars. $1000 to replace them with only 10 months left on the lease. 😩

No more Volvo, please!
I was a loyal Volvo customer from 2004 until 2024. Here is my story: 2004 - I bought a new S40 for my wife. We loved that car and passed it to our daughter in 2015. The car was serviced at dealership mostly and made ~335,000 miles without major issues / repairs until I junked it in 2017. 2007 - I bought a new XC90 for myself. It's a great car and I'm still driving it. Now it has ~211,000 miles. This car also was serviced at dealership mostly and hasn't had any major issues / repairs. 2015 - I bought a new S60 for my wife. We loved that car too but the problem with excessive oil consumption started right after purchasing it. I had to add 1 quart of oil like 3-4 times between oil changes (10,000 miles). Volvo dealership did 3 tests but could not find anything wrong with it. I had some suspicions about their test because they never allow me to bring the car to them when it was asking to add oil. The test was always like "we topped the oil please bring the car back for check in exactly 3 days no longer" and no oil level change could be found in 3 days obviously. Bottom line - at 125,000 miles (in 2024) 2 cylinder out of 4 lost compression and dealership told me that the engine has to be replaced for $8,000-$12,000. Volvo refused to reimburse anything at all. Conclusion - no Volvo anymore!
