You want value for money? I know I do so I chose the VW Tiguan SEL R Line. Where can you get Audi quality electronics, interior and design features at an affordable price, look no farther than the Tiguan. Reasonable power, fuel efficient quiet and smooth running engine. Smooth shifting with manual shifting capabilities. Interior is roomy, especially the back seat. Luxury materials used in the interior are high end quality. A pleasure to drive and own that’s the Tiguan.

Mechanical Deficiencies
I bought a 2023 Tiguan in September 2023. Having owned over 170 vehicles over the years, I am extremely disappointed in the drivetrain and ergonomics of the Tiguan. The drivetrain “oscillates” in a deceleration mode, (similar to worn out bearings in a u-joint), the acceleration does not have any consistency in a positive normal acceleration (even if the start-stop function is OFF) What is really disappointing is that with the first 8K maintenance done this week, the Service Mgr at the Dealer stated “we are aware of the deficiencies you have noted and there is nothing we can do about it. It’s a flaw noted by VW.” I have to put the car in neutral every time I’m decelerating to a stop. In start and stop traffic, the acceleration has a “blank spot” where nothing happens when depressing the pedal. Unacceptable… The other item, not a big issue, is that the rear cup holder for the front passengers is not easily accessible. Need to be moved forward. Overall opinion with the vehicle I am really dissatisfied with the vehicle, price point and that there are known deficiencies by VW, but no intent to resolve the issues. Easily falls into a “ lemon law” issue. UPDATE: The numerous complaints by consumers are in line with what I’ve experienced in my 2023 Tiguan: lack of acceleration, engine develops excessive rpm without the transmission matching torque, normal deceleration causes an oscillation bouncing on the drive train, harsh down shifting under normal deceleration. Normal specification for idle rpm is 850 rpm yet issue stated from the Service Manager at my dealership is that VW is fully aware of the issues with the entire fleet of Tiguans yet will do nothing about the problems noted throughout the fleet. All I can say is buyer beware. Overpriced, underpowered and poor engineering.

23 TIGUAN SEL R LINE GREAT SUV
I have owned the 23 SEL RLINE for almost 2 years now and have had absolutely zero problems. I drive on long trips and usually get about 30 MPG driving between 65- 80 MPH. I just wish it had more room in trunk, otherwise a solid SUV.

Love my car!
This is my second Tiguan. I love the way this car looks, drives and feels.
Pretty Slick SUV
We have our first Tiguan for like few months and already have put like 10K km and so far going Great . Very reasonable on gas and have the power if needed. The interior it’s neat and easy access to come out and In. We are very happy with it and can do even better millage if completely drives on E mode . Handeling it’s very nice so is the drive. Always had Toyota and Honda but happy to have the switch for a change . Also like the VW App very accurate on details and remote start . 😃
