Went from Chevrolet Camero Convertible to VW Tiguan and absolutely love it. Safety Features. Comfort. Ease In Getting In And Out. Technology. Handling. Still love my Tiguan after two years.

So I bought this car end of 2017; drove about 79,000km and I am getting my second engine replacement in addition to some other major repairs like cylinder head gasket replacement. The car has been in the shop for almost 4 months within the first 2 years. And below is the response from Volkswagen: HOW WOULD THIS MAKE YOU FEEL? Have had issues with panoramic sunroof multiple times in the dealership twice now for repair , they removed light aroud sunroof was told it was a recall and have not heard nothing after 7 months now to replace lights , and back in dealership now for sunroof not opening again second time , lane assistant lights on the side mirrors not working had to go to dealership for repair or as they told me software issue not good

We've had VWs since the 1970s and most recently the Sportwagen, which I loved, but the Tiguan is hands down my favorite!!! The third row seating is great for our granddaughters☺

Update: 149k miles and one issue out of extended 10yr/125k warranty on ignition wiring harness unfortunately. $800 to install $90 part. Trouble free otherwise with no creaks or rattles and still about 30MPG mostly highway driving. I found the EPA MPG peculiar however after reading a few reviews it seemed to do better then advertised 22city/27highway. Well over 1800 miles I am getting 29.7 MPG with 60% highway driving so not sure where the figure came from. Don't believe them. I find the vehicle to have adequate power but more importantly comfortable and very quiet for the class. I like the plain interior and controls/touch screen are dead easy to use. No flash or frills just works. I also like the light grey leatherette seating that cleans well and is pretty comfortable.
