Very good vehicle

It is bigger and suitable for family with three. The acceleration is not so good. But why do you want to start it quickly.

Leased in Jan 2018 and I have had no real issues. Couple of minor recalls that were fixed in about an hour. Car is at 13,000 miles now. I keep the transmission in 'S' mode for faster shifts and acceleration. MPG is just ok, not great. Its crazy to read all these reviews about cars having so many issues. I honestly have none of these issues. If car can stay issues free I will be stepping up to an SE in 2021. UPDATE: 1/18/2020, Car is still going strong. No issues to date. Currently at 18k miles. Still looking foward to trading it in for an SE at the end of my lease. UPDATE 7/11/2020: So a couple of issues have happened. 1. Started getting a transmission warning light (Trans Emergency-Safe To Drive ⚠️) dealer said shift knob needs to be replaced?. 2. E brake switch has broken, needs to be replaced. 3. Black plastic bumper has come unclipped from rear drivers side. Dealer said they won’t fix. Taking car in this week to get repairs. Other than that no mechanical issues. Car is at 22,500 miles. Lease is up in Jan 2021, not sure if keeping it or moving on to Honda CR-V or Passport?

DO NOT BUY...............TO MANY PROBLEMS

I am totally sick to my stomach that a new car has to stay in the shop for over 5 weeks in 4 months. Every time my Tiguan went into the shop the dealer had to call VW who sent a vw engineer out to try and figure out the problem'S. BEWARE Tiguan owners...you are now a VW guinea-pig. The delayed acceleration of about 5-10 seconds will KILL you...DO NOT pull out unless you have allot of room. This is a major issue and VW knows about it. Some dealers even quit selling them until the problem is fixed !!! VW SHOULD HAVE NEVER PUT THIS VEHICLE OUT FOR SALE until ALL known issues were fix. (and they did know ) I was even told by VW...that All SUNROOFS LEAK !!!!!!! i CAN GO ON AND ON AND ON. I do know allot about the auto business being a 3rd generation GM dealer and my family in the auto business for 87 years......I sold the dealership in 1995.

It is slightly under powered as compared to the previous editions. On the plus side it is larger, has a greater storage and cargo area. The styling is straight forward with clean lines no crazy gegaws or nonsense just straight forward Germanic clean lines.

The acceleration of the vehicle is very, very poor. It seems as if the motor is cold. It's a very uncomfortable drive and not so safe when starting to accelerate. DISAPPOINTED.
