Very Impressive

VW cut no corners in this vehicle. Quality craftmanship on the interior especially with the seats, dash board, access to controls and visibility. Very tight car with little outside noise. No rattles! Exterior is very attractive with features such as turning headlights. You can see and feel a lot of Audi in the car. This is my third Passat and will consider a 4th when time runs out on this vehicle. AWESOME CAR!

Forget the Bimmer, Go for the Passat

This is my 3rd Passat, and the absolute best. The quality is exceptional, the ride comfortable, and the 3.6L engine a gem. With the Luxury package #2 and wood trim interior, I'll compare this to any BMW, MB, or Infiniti! And, for many thousands less!! You gotta give the Passat a look, you'll be overwhelmed with the quality. Also, I regularly get 30-31+ MPG on the road.

Never mind the BMW, get a Passat

I stepped into this car from a BMW 325i, after considering a 525 or Infiniti G35. The Passat looks, feels and drives better, with more power and same confident German road handling. Not to mention a great deal more interior space and a more comfortable layout. In no time you are doing 60 without any strain on the V6. It's an absolute joy to drive - and for much less than comparably performing cars.

Since early 2007, I have had the catyletic converter split, front and read brakes replaced, steering column replaced and put on sideways...had to take it back to the dealer. Front axle, compressor, 12 tires...its awful in the snow and ice. Satellite radio died, peeling on the arms and buttons, leak in the sunroof, terrible heating/cooling system...takes forever to heat up. Electrically system messed up and when I try and open the window, it closes, then opens. Numerous other things wrong with it. In just the past 6 months I've sunk $8000 into the car. The only thing I like is the way it handles on the open road. Im so disappointed with this car and will never buy a VW again.

I'm a former VW owner, and I traded up my 2003 Passat for a 2006 because I had heard so many great things about them. The '06 Passat 2.0T accelerates very well, and it seats 4-5 passengers in comfort. The 6-disc changer, satellite radio, and night gauge illumination make the drive fun and enjoyable. I'm most impressed with the suspension! This updated Passat feels stiffer than my '03, and it corners on rails. I love the 3 transmission options (N, S, and Tiptronic). There's more usable room in the '06, and I've found no problems in build quality. My '06 has the airbags that wrap around the passengers. There is no comparison to this car at this price!
