I just purchased a 2003 New Beetle a week ago, and I love it!!! It handles great, looks great & sooo fun to drive. The front seats have as much head and leg room as my husband's 4-dr dodge truck. It has so many options that make it a very "smart" little car. Like they say, "Dynamite comes in small packages", this car is DYNAMITE, it will run. A car with personality & attitude. VW put a lot in this car. I love my bug!!!

The interior rattles are ridiculous, and the dealers that I have brought it to have not fixed them and do not seem to care. It has had rattles from day 1, and the dealers have only made it worse, or simply lied about serivce that was not actually performed. It has been disappointing, and I cannot wait to get rid of it. It's cute and that is about all it has going for it. Forget about picking up more than one person at the airport.

I bought my new beetle back in December of 2002 and i absolutely love it! I wouldn't give it up for anything. Its a fun car to drive and even though it may be look small on the outside, it is very spacious inside. The beetles are built very well and i haven't had one problem with mine, whatsoever!

Dead at 66.000 Miles!

I purchased my Beetle for 4 years in 2003. It was in the shop 6 times the first year! Now at 66,000 miles the engine has lost all compression. My local mechanic could not find a reason so I had it towed to the VW dealership to see if they could tell me what happened. They did not have a clue, but said the engine is definitely dead. I had the oil changed every 4000 miles. The power train warranty expired at 60,000 miles (before 2003 it was a 100,00 mile warranty. I am through with VW's! (oh yes, and I still owe money on this pile of junk)

This is my third New Beetle. My first was a GLS TDI then my second was the GLX Turbo. Now I have the Turbo S. I love this car. I have had no problems with it! The car is nice because it looks different than the other New Beetle models (exterior and interior). Handling is awesome. The 180hp engine is a ton faster than the 150hp. The 6 speed tranny helps in this area. I love it! I wouldn't change a thing!
