it took me 5 minutes talking to VW Cert Tech to realize he was going to throw parts at the problem. Most expensive first. The fuel system is different but not rocket science. i can not have my car going down, and my CC broke that faith twice.

Very simple, this car is pure rust! I bought used 2009 CC in 2015. There were already signs of rust on both left doors. Went to the dealership and asked if they can fix it by warranty. So they made some photos and surprisingly few days later i got a call that it is approved. So they repainted the doors (badly btw, didn't match properly the color), then one month later i found another bad rust next to drivers seat, they fixed it too. Year later, in spring, after i washed the car, i saw that in front of the hood the paint just peeled off, next wash - more paint peeled off. And it is 7 years old car!!! I saw few other CCs with the same problems in the town where rust is popping up. Maybe this car us good for California but not for cold Canada. Bye VW - never again.

Bought this 09 2.0T used early 2016 in the first 6 months water pump failed causing coolant leak, went to dealer needed to replace the pump the intake and the oil separator car had 55 K miles 1600 CAD. 1 year later one of the 2 radiator fan went, relying on only 1 fan to cooldown the engine could not use AC because of that and engine would overheat. took it to the shop had to replace both fans 1300 CAD. everything was well until reaching 89K miles and nightmares after nightmares. Broken Crank Seal causing oil leak in the transmission the transmission started slipping went to shop crank seal + cooler line replacement 1900 CAD. couple weeks later now having throttle issue car would idle very low in traffic almost like it will die 1300 CAD. this is just the major issues. had to do the break rotors and pads several times, battery and starter both died in 2 months interval. had to buy new sets of summer tires. lot of body rust luckily this one is covered for free by vw.wiper blades done twice, after couple of times side mirrors will start to wiggle and eventually fall when driving its almost like they applied a 10 year glue so beware. if you wanna go for this one be ready other than that the performance and comfort is at the RDV.

I bought a 2009 CC from the VW dealer used, one owner Hi line with an extended warranty extra. Everything was going good, until big oil leaks on my driveway. Turned out to be a be the start of a an financial nightmare. Replaced two line of transmission to cooling, replacing also filter pan gasket. $1254. In the same time I been told my rear seal is leaking. Went to an different vw dealership. $4230 later, replaced and work done. Fix main seal, replaced intake manifold, and PVC valve, upper timing cover, De carbon intakes, replace broken rear springs and one exhaust clap. I had to take rent a car for 4 day $140. I never after owning 6vw buying an VW product again. I'm going back to BMW.
