We own both a new fully loaded vw beetle convertible and a new fully loaded mini S convertible...and that VW a) is 1/3 less the price of the mini, b) just as fast/peppy, c) has a more comfortable ride, d) has more interior room. I ordered the mini and wish I had ordered my wife's VW. Update: We liked the VW Beetle so much such that we purchased a second!

We bought the 2019 Final Edition SEL convertible and love it! My wife had a 69 Beetle when we first got married.....50 years later we bought another. Do not regret at all. Very pleased w/its overall performance. We have the gas model. The front seats are comfortable and the ride/suspension is great. The pop up roll bars behind the back seat were the Safety item that won me over. Of course the rear seat is for that brother in law that you REALLY don't like (to sit side ways). Our 10 yr old Grandson feels it's just right for him. Quality seems to be good, nice stitching in upholstery. Handling is responsive and tight. Gas mileage comparable to my motorcycle is easy to take. Really only performance clitch seems to be slight turbo lag on initial acceleration....not a show stopper. Brakes have a soft initial feel, but work great once pressure is applied. The pros out way these minor cons by a mile😉

I adore this car. I have had American, Asian and German automobiles. This German/Mexico built sun rider is the best and most fun all around vehicle I have ever had. The sound/entertainment system is outstanding. Comfort is excellent. Mood lighting is striking and fun. I find reasons to ride around in this car because it is very sporty and fun. I get more compliments on this vehicle than I have received on any of my other vehicles. I just can’t stop loving this beetle! Top down or up, it’s a very fun, safe and retro ride. Fit and finish is as expected from Volkswagen. Tons of places to store stuff, but being a convertible the boot/trunk storage is low. Definitely adequate though for what I need a boot/trunk for. Sport mode turns the beetle into a race car. It’s very easy to speed. My warranty from Volkswagen is great. I have all servicing paid for, for the next 3 years. I just can’t stop bragging about my little white bug convertible.

We recently traded our red 2013 beetle convertible for a stunning stonewash blue Final Edition SEL with a brown top. Once inside you have stitched black leather seats, killer Fender sound system and electronic climate control. The biggest improvement over our last model is the safety features with front and rear camera plus blind spot monitors. The car rides like a dream and turns heads with its very unique color combination. If you are looking for a fun, unique and reasonably priced convertible, you can't beat the overall value and features offered with the Beetle SEL Final Edition. Two years later, the car is trouble free and still boatloads of fun to drive.

My 4th car and first convertible was a 1963 Beetle which I bought while stationed in Germany. I have never been without a convertible since 1963. More recently, I've had a Buick Cascada, a VW EOS, a Thunderbird 50th Anniversary and a Mercedes Benz 300 SL.While they were all great cars, I think this new Beetle holds up nicely. It's black with a black top and black and white seats and I've received some very positive comments. This is also my 4th "final edition" car and I couldn't find anything close in this price range. I like the way it drives and I'm sure I'll take it on my 3300 mile Florida Keys trip this winter

Buy it for what it is: a fun, peppy car with limited seating beyond 2 people. Well made, comfortable with great fuel economy. Trunk can handle weekend's worth of stuff and Fender stereo is much better than base model without breaking the bank. Onboard computer is a bonus and the blind spot warning, parking sensors and surround view provide good awareness. Overall, value for the money is unmatched.

We bought this vehicle 9/13/19. We wanted a fun 2nd car and thought a convertible would be a nice to have feature. We ended up paying $25,295 including dest. I thought that was good value for what we got. The turbo 2.0 liter engine has a lot of zip with 174 HP and 184 lb of torque. The car has a lot of pick up and speed to merge onto the highway and pass slower vehicles when needed. The car feels great on most roads and is down right comfortable. It rides and feels a lot bigger than it is. The heated seats feel great. I would like it if they were electric. The Apple Car Play works great. The standard car stereo sounds excellent a very pleasant surprise even with the top down. The car is Silk Blue Metallic with beige leatherette trim and a tan top. We love the color combo and judging from the look on folks faces when they see it, they must like it too. It is a cute car and yet it has a "powerful" feel when driving it. The bride and I love taking it on our weekend getaways and when the weather is right there is nothing like driving around with the top down. The 72,000 mile 6 year bumper to bumper warranty really sold us as well. It is a shame that VW is discontinuing the model. We are looking forward to many years of enjoying "Bella" the Beetle. Car looks great. Great on gas and features . Dont like engine noise and acceleration. Small back seats. But fun to drive and handles nicely. Lots of looks with new color combos. Like the fact I have the wolfsburgh ed. With badges. Upgraded wheels
