This truck has not caused me one second's worth of hassle, and has never failed to perform flawlessly. Toyota quality is the real deal, believe the hype. They are expensive, but are well worth it in the long run. This truck still looks and runs like new. Once they fixed the front brake problem on the 99 and 2000 models, this is THE truck to buy.

Make sure you test drive this truck, make sure it shifts right & doesn't hesitate in gears.Get a feel for the braking system.Listen to the engine as you drive it (without making sure the am/fm radio works).Look at the tires before you leave with vehicle. Some car dealers say they are brand new tires, but are just shined to look new.Check the oil dipstick, making sure it's not black as coffee.Inspect the serpentine belt.Check the 3 windows in rear (if comes with 3 windows),make sure the middle 1 locks right.Check for rust underneath truck & around doors.Check the battery area. You are buying this truck,so look for everything that comes to mind before you sign anything.Even though the "suicide doors" are never a problem for me,they may be for you. After I bought my 2004 Toyota Tundra SR5,I modified the 4.7L engine with a lot of aftermarket parts.I wanted to make it go faster without no hesitation.I would drive from Cobb County,GA to Brunswick,GA on a half a tank of gas.(over 300 miles at 70 mph)
