It’s ok, but the seatbelt is irritating

This will be my fourth Toyota and my third Tacoma. I haven’t driven a fourth gen up to this point and didn’t realize that they had changed the seatbelt configuration for the front seats. Because the seatbelt sit up higher, it rubs into my leg in the side of my stomach may not seem like much, but it is quite irritating when you’re driving long distance.

This is my 5th Tacoma, but first new Tacoma in 10 years. I purchased a 2025 Limited which has many more features than my prior Tacomas and a MSRP that reflects this. I’ve been happy with my purchase. Although the new engine is a bit louder than the old V6, it has plenty of power for my needs. I find the current transmission to be much better than the transmission in my 2009 or 2014 Tacomas. I haven’t experienced any inappropriate downshifting or hunting for gears. Rear seat legroom is limited, but this appears to be common among midsize pickups. Mine came with a hard tri-fold tonneau cover that I didn’t initially want, but have come to appreciate. I find the lane keep assist feature a bit annoying when going around a bicyclist or parked car. I wanted the larger multi media display; however, in retrospect I think the smaller screen would have been fine. Time will tell if this is as reliable as my prior Tacomas.

First Taco, Great Taco

Bought my '25 TRD Sport Premium SB in late February and it's been a great truck overall. Drives great in bad weather, solid interior, rides well, and comfy inside (I'm 6'3"). It's a truck, it drives like a truck, it sounds like a truck - I don't understand a lot of reviews that complain about this stuff. If you want something that drives like a car, get a unibody SUV.
