I traded in a 2013 Tacoma double cab 6sp. for this POS..now i get honked at at red lights cause it has zero pick up. I am constantly down shifting cause it has no power on hills that my 13 would fly up..i was told the new engine has more HP but I don't know where it is. sad! UPDATE: Unloaded that junkpile and got a Jeep Wrangler JKU rubicon.

I had saved for 3 years to buy a new Tacoma, What a mistake I made buying a Tacoma! On a gradual grade at about 40mpg the truck starts to shutter, almost feels like a tire is out of round. Carried it to the dealer, they told me they knew exactly what I was talking about. They said Toyota is aware of the problem, but has not figured out a fix. The service manager told me he owns a 2018 Tacoma and is ready to trade to something other than a Tacoma. What a shame, i would tell anyone whom is contemplating buying a Tacoma, get the manual Transmission or move on to another make and model. UPDATE. I gave up on Toyota to be able to come up with a fix for the above problem. I traded the truck at took a $6000 bath to get rid of it. I will never EVER, purchase another Toyota product! Reconfirming I will never buy a another Toyota product! Reconfirming again, I will never buy another Toyota product!!!!!

Good looking truck Decent gas mileage 22-26 , put a trailer and side by side behind it, it drops to 14-17 Took me about a month and 5000 miles to learn how to drive it... 6 speed auto does suck. Don’t mind the rough ride, has very good suspension and rides the way I expected small 4WD Have had it about a year and had 25000 miles Looks like a well built truck Other than the crappy transmission I love it If your in the market you need to decide what you are going to use it for.. towing a trailer a lot May not be the best. but commuting to work and back, it’s fun to drive and gets a lot of compliments . If I had it to do over, I would have got the 6 speed manual

Bought new 2019 Tacoma limited edition. Was very happy until at about 2500 miles and the rear end starts howling very loud. Took to dealer(very happy with dealer) they checked/inspected rear end as well as test drive. Dealer acknowledged howling noise and said they test drove 2 new Tacoma’s off their lot and they both had howling rear ends. Dealer deemed it normal. I really blame Toyota for the lack of concern for howling rear end , not the dealer. I’m scared to take it on any trips(I bought it for that very purpose) due to the rear end noise. Afraid it’s gonna strand me and my family. Very disappointed. - Update...Rear end is quiet as a church mouse now. Dealership awesome (Toyota of Bowling Green,Ky) it took a few weeks for Toyota of BG manager(excellent customer service) to talk to Toyota’s engineers and get the ball in motion( still very pleased with the diligence of dealership getting it done in a few weeks)...they replaced rear differential and all is well. Even though I’ve had this problem with the rear end...it was taken care of properly and in a timely manner. Very happy with my 19 Taco Limited and dealership 👍👍

20166 trd off road 4wd. Iv'e had issues with the engine and transmission programming from the get go. horrible shifting. hesitation and bogging. I've had all tsb's done to bring it to current 2019 software. Still not corrected. Toyota has had this model for 4 model years soon to be 5 and they couldn't care less about this issue. THEY SHOULD BE EMBARRESED. First and last new Toyota. Stay away from this vehicle if you are expecting to use it as a truck!!!!!
