Bought used with 50,000 and now my transmission went out, clutch, shocks, and the grill flew off on the free way. It's still a blast to drive and I like the styling and the size with a six speed manual. It needs more horse power and insulation. Bumpy all most drove off the free way twice.

I've driven 51000 mi. with only oil changes and nothing else needed so far. The interior has superior fit and finish, and in the Michigan winters it makes not a peep, and is a testament to the build quality. Great styling turns heads, and I still get compliments after 4+yrs. With half city and half hwy driving I get 17.5mpg in the winter and 20.8mpg in the summer. Nothing has ever failed to work, and it climbs like a billy goat off-road. When I push the accelerator-it moves like all get out; feels like a V8 (a powerful V8).

think twice or even three times!

I am still trying to figure out what it is with designers. They took a perfectly good size of the Tacoma and changed it. It is more bulky and deliberate. It is no longer a small truck - I might as well have bought an F150. The radio looks like art-deco, sounds ok but looks terrible ... real imagination at work here (sarcasm intentional). So the brilliant engineers again took something that wasn't broke and tried to fix it. A style and color upgrade was needed ... but bigger is not always better ... wake up Toyota!!!

This truck rides corners like no truck i have ever driven. it's like it's meant to stay 4 on the ground. my previous truck was a 4.3liter while this one is a 4.0 and it seems to have alot more power. sitting next to a dodge ram my truck is only 2 inches shorter looks the same width and is the same length. i really feel like i'm a giant in this thing. compared to the tundra it's not much smaller either. but alot less. i love the next interior i fell in love with it. and the access cab doors the open up will really be a help to put things in the back. headlights are nice they turn off when you open your door and the engine is off. can't lock door while key is in ignition. tons of pockets.

The temp and compass above dashboard needs designed so you can read it in the daylight! Stock radio and cd player are junk, dealer quoted $700.00 to replace! Truck has great exterior design and looks great though!
