This is a great truck, I bought it used with 169,986 miles on it and it currently has 179,090 miles on it. I have the aluminum wheels with 30 inch. tires. The only thing I wish I had was the locking rear differental but I didn't buy it new or I would've opt for that. Since I've had it the only thing needed to be replaced was the cat. converter (which all vehicles need eventually) and a clutch (which replaced the original from factory @ 175,000 miles). This truck is a great truck for on and off roading. You can't go wrong with a Toyota.

I have had nothing but good luck with this vehicle, I'm just getting ready to do the 90,000 go through with this truck.

I purchased my 1996 Tacoma a few months ago, and have had nothing but beautiful experiences with it. It drives very well, has a buttery smooth (if a little stiff) manual tranny. The ride is a little harsh, but it's a truck, not a Lexus. It tackles gnarly dirt trails, and twisty mountain pavement with equal tenacity. The V6 is tremendously flexible, and has a wide, useful powerband. The only complaint I have is the lack of power options (windows, mirrors) but I didn't buy the truck new, so I can't whine too much. I'd recommend a Tacoma to anyone who needs a capable light truck.

I have driven this pickup since brand new and never have any problem with my 6 years of experience. Reliability was excellent through the years I owned it. On or Off the road, this will be the truck of my choice. Never thought of selling or trading it on my future years. Owning this vehicle for good cause is highly recommended.
