Used 2018 Toyota Sienna Minivan Consumer Reviews
What's to Like?
Went from a 2008 to a 2018, and there is but one thing I can point to that's an improvement over the '08: the birds eye camera. Otherwise, we regret dropping $48,000 on a car that our family universally dislikes. So we take my Grand Cherokee everywhere except skiing. The rest: A. The cabin is cavernous and cold with sliding seats that make it so the rear floor mats don't fit. This means that the black interior has mud and crumbs ground into it already at 8 months of ownership. B. 10.7mpg combined (vs. 13.8 in the '08) C. The multimedia system is poorly designed and poorly featured. The GPS is unchanged from the poorly designed '08 version. D. The V6 is dramatically underpowered. E. It handles like a boat. F. They removed most of the discrete storage, so the single, enormous console compartment has to house everything. The only distinguishing quality of this van over others is the AWD system. And after 8 months, my wife laments that we should have bought a second Grand Cherokee, which is plenty big for a family of four, handles well and gets 17mpg combined. I couldn't be more disappointed.

Mileage
I like my AWD but it is somewhat of inconvenience since it does not have spare tire and location to mount it. i did switch to normal tire and have to put a spare tire in the back. other than that i give this vehicle 5 stars. Mileage is not great in city (up to 18mpg) but very good in highway (up to 24mpg)

Highly recommend the 2018 Sienna!
We purchased a new 2018 Sienna SE after trying several other minivans. We chose the SE model because of the unique sporty look, and black interior and how it handles and many safety features. We are very pleased after 15 months and 11k miles. The pluses are many safety features, easy to drive, with lane assist and radar cruise control, and its stable feel at 75+ mph on interstates. We get 32 or more mpg at 57mph! And 30 or more at 75mph because of 8 speed gear box. In town about 24mpg. Only minor gripes with SE: wheels are 19 inch, and so not as smooth riding as 18 inch on other trims. Wish Toyota had put in more sound proofing to cut back on wind and road noise. The info system is a pain to learn and use. Toyota needs to rework it big time. Otherwise we are pleased with our purchase.

Needs important improvements on heater output
This is my 3rd sienna . All of them have been pretty much what i wanted in vehicle. However my latest van as i live in northern great lakes region and when temps get near 0 F the heater takes 45 min or more to reach a comfortable temp. Few weeks when temperatures reached -25 it was almost undriveable the windows would fog up so bad , even using the maximum fan and front window control defrost on. It would not keep the windshield clear enough to drive.safely very dangerous. They need to improve this system this before i buy another Sienna.

Great For Cargo and People
We bought this to replace our 1998 Sienna, which we had bought new. We waited until the 2018 model to get the safety features in Toyota Sense. The Sienna is easy to drive and has enough cargo room that I can fit two recumbent trikes in the back. The safety features have been great, and make backing out of a parking space or parallel parking so much easier than before.
