I have almost 10 years experience with Toyota products and have been very satisfied with all of the vehicles. I have purchased 1 Corolla, 2 Camrys, a 4 Runnner, and now a Sequoia. The ride of the Sequoia is very smooth and the manuverability of the vehicle is excellent. Highway gas mileage is about what I expected it to be but not disappointing. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone wishing to purchase a full size SUV.

Very Good - With Minor Improvements

My main gripes are as follows: the transmission downshifts really hard in the hills (I had a Chevy and a Ford that shifted cleaner) I hope they can address this issue. I'm 6'2" and the ergonomics are generally great for the driver, except that they buried the clock at the bottom of the dash panel, and when they shifter is in drive it actually blocks the view of some of the HVAC controls. It's even worse for my wife who is 5'3". The drivers seat needs at least a 2 position memory switch, and it would be really nice if they had incorporated the stereo controls into the steering wheel pod. Other than that, I'll shut up - it's a great vehicle!

Superior To American SUVs

I have owned Ford and GM SUVs. Tried their '03s including the new Expedition. Sequoia had far superior build quality and materials than Ford or GM. It was quieter than the Expedition for the same money when loaded equally(within $900). It is still rattle and squeak free after 10,000 harsh miles(regularly off road and rough road).

Had this '03 for a few weeks and love it. Huge interior space, can pack the kids in easily. Power is no problem, handles superbly on the highway. Very quiet on all types of roads. Interior is sound and of high quality. Exterior design turns heads. Definately recommend this one.
