Great SUV.
I have just been driving this RAV4 2007 for one months and I love it. It is fun to drive. Smooth and quick acceleration. Smooth ride though a bit more shake on flat roads than my Camry. Gas milage is lower than expected 21mpg. only 19MPG in my first 2 tanks (mostly city plus some highway). This make the small gas tank (only 15.9 gal) more inconvenient. I have to fill gas every 200 miles.
-consumption oil !!!!
Well...I can’t believe this car has such a problem! Like oil consumption.... We got ours RAV4 AWD/ 4 C... from Stevenson Toyota dealership in Lakewood, Colorado-car had only 20,000 miles still Certified but after owning we got sooo many recalls and the worst: oil consumption ...-to point blow up engin on hway! Yes! Well, Toyota dealership denied to fix issue... of course bc needs brand new engine...after doing research and seeing how much will be fixing...cost came up to more than $8,000 ...today 1/23/19 car is worth only $2,000 even with running engine ! I haven’t case let go with Toyota Dealership...I’m in process of suing dealership for misleading and “passing” my oil consumption-twice...main Toyota in California will help us and make sure it’s dealer responsibility to fix and replace my engine...beside that overall and over the years car it’s running good ... we have winter studded tires which is main reliable safety if u live in Colorado beside :AWD/4wd/4x4 of course good wipers, all needed fluids and working heater!

RAVE 4 2007 TOO MANY RECALLS BURNS OIL LIKE CRAZY
Don’t buy paid 35,000 for the limited 2007 . I don't even have 100 thousand miles and I have to add oil every month and it’s not leaking.

A Bad Boy looking to get unleashed
I took delivery of my RAV4 Sport V6 on the first day it snowed in Vancouver, Canada (usually we don't get snow)so my new baby was parked in garage until the snow melted a week later...paranoid of lousy drivers in Vanc. First impression when I finally was able to drive it, WOW!!! This is one bad a$$ puppy that loves to go fast. I feel the V6 engine is constantly looking to go faster and unleash its' potential. Flint Mica colour and black interior is HOT!! Have not accelerated hard yet so torque steer not evident. Handling in snow was accurate and precise. Visibility excellent even with wheel on rear door. Ample legroom in rear seats when reclined. Avg 15L/100km so far before break in.
Issues with the car.
At 17,603 miles the water pump needed replacement which entailed removing the engine to get to the pump due to poor design. Fortunately the repair was under warranty. At 28,748 miles the car needs a new steering shaft which is not covered under the warranty because the car is already six years old; total cost at dealership service was $236.52 for the part and labor will be determined when I get he repair done.
